19/07/2022 - Brightly colored metal outdoor furniture: the new outdoor furniture brand BABEL D made its debut at the Milan design Week 2022 in the new Brera Contract showroom, in the heart of Milan. BABEL D is the brainchild of Mauro Baraldo, a young, second-generation entrepreneur who, after studying industrial design at the Milan Polytechnic and thanks to the experience he gained in the field, embarked on a three-year journey with the aim of expanding the activities of the family business, Industrie Baraldo.

He thus draws on the parent company's forty years of experience in metalworking, which offers inspiration for great designers such as Walter de Silva, BrogliatoTraverso and Altherr Désile Park, but also for emerging talents such as Simone Bonanni and Denis Barbiero, who contribute to creating a rich and articulate collection of furnishings that express a well-defined personality. Like ALODIA, the sculptural folding chaise longue designed by Walter de Silva and Mario Antonioli, which is made of rectangular stainless steel profiles curved to create a perfect joint: the metal slats revolve around a horizontal cylinder and create a play of full and empty spaces. Alodia can be folded to be easily transported. The colour is provided by the mattress that follows the silhouette of the chaise longue.  The GAO table by Simone Bonanni is characterised by a subtle but very strong architecture, thanks to its bent steel bridge legs. A design conceived to highlight the table top, distancing it from the supporting structure to make it appear suspended. The rigorous appearance is very convivial thanks to the colours of the metal base and the top, proposed in steel and also available in HPL and PaperStone®, an eco material derived from paper processing. Light in appearance due to its original narrow slatted frame, the Gao chair in the same line is also a perfect balance of volumes and proportions, for maximum comfort. The same transversal functionality for BANGI by Altherr Désile Park, a chair in which steel is the protagonist, defining a pleasantly irregular design with slats of different shapes. An aesthetic but also ergonomic combination. To maximise safety and comfort, the seat slats are reinforced with imperceptible steel ribs. BABEL D on ARCHIPRODUCTS
