Meetings, exhibitions and workshops: Brera Design Days is coming back from 6th to 12th October, offering the perfect setup to discuss and share ideas on how digital innovation is influencing design. Archiproducts as main sponsor of the event, together with Microsoft and Edison, will be supporting one of the most important initiatives addressed to Milan and its community of professionals and design lovers.
Brera Design Days is created by Studiolabo, with Domus and IED as cultural partners and Abitare, designboom, divisione contract, Studio and v2com as media partners. The event includes a series of meetings and activities aimed to share the culture of the project, focusing on digital innovation and its impact on design and territory. Topics which have always been dear to Archiproducts: in fact, the idea, its concrete shape and the collaboration between designers and brands are the main values of the Archiproducts Design Awards, that are coming back this year with a whole new edition.
The shared goal is to make Brera Design Days an international appointment and it’s among the reasons that led to the decision of supporting the event. ”We’ve decided to support the Brera Design Days since they offer a unique opportunity to discuss and share ideas on design’s most important topics in the context of relationships involving architects, designers, producers, retailers and consumers.” - explains Enzo Maiorano, co-founder of Archiproducts - “More than ever, meeting professionals has become strategic for us to bring digital to reality. That’s why we’ve started to create touch points worldwide with first and foremost, “Archiproducts Milano”, in via Tortona 31, a co-net-working space dedicated to architects and brands. In our opinion, the Brera Design Days offer an interesting opportunity to complement our touch points”
This event represents, in fact, the opportunity to meet people coming from showrooms, institutions, firms and partners, within a project that is going to make Brera the benchmark of design in Milan. It’s also the chance for Archiproducts to continue gaining trust from Milan’s professionals and design lovers.
Archiproducts’ people will talk to the public, making the point on two big issues:
9th October – “E-commerce or retail? The future of design is multichannel”, at the Microsoft House, in viale Pasubio 21, Milan. Integrating physical and digital channels is the best way to compete for brands willing to develop an e-commerce platform, keeping their retail network strong. Digital channels and physical touch points need to interact in a multichannel system of communication and contact, making brands reach a competitive advantage. It’s necessary to follow the customer-journey, from the initial step of asking for information about products through a smartphone, to the moment items are discovered in the store, to the final online purchase. Speakers: Ferdinando Napoli (co-founder Archiproducts), Ilenia Palumbo (Store manager Archiproducts Shop), Luciana Maiorano (Project Manager Archiproducts Milano).
9th October – “Augmented reality: the future of interior design is Home View” at the Microsoft House, in viale Pasubio 21, Milan. The possibility of choosing the right furniture using technology is now a reality: Archiproducts and Sayduck present in world premiere the new AR App, allowing people to experience how a piece of furniture would look in a real space. Thanks to this App, it’s possible to insert 3D virtual models of many items in a real environment and to configure them in real time. By doing so, it’s possible to create a real project of interior design in a few seconds, giving users the chance to see the final result of their choices. Speakers: Niklas Slotte (co-founder Sayduck), Alexander Indorato (Archiproducts + Sayduck AR product manager).
From 6th to 10th October the location of this year’s edition will be the Microsoft House, in viale Pasubio 21, location partner along with Spaces, Mediateca di Santa Teresa and Laboratorio Formentini per l’Editoria. From 11th to 12th October, the festival will be moving to the showrooms and spaces belonging to Brera Design District. The scheduled talks are free and open to public, following registration on the website www.breradesigndays.it.
During Brera Design Days, Archiproducts Milano will be open to public every day from 9 am to 6 pm, to discuss the topics presented by the Archiproducts’ hosts and to discover all the latest information about present and future projects.
