10/03/2016 - The Centre Pompidou in Paris will host the first Pierre Paulin exhibition from 11 May through 22 August 2016. Artifort, a Dutch design furniture brand which was founded more than 125 years ago and has collaborated with the designer since 1959, will also be in attendance. Pairing Artifort's expertise and strategy with the vision and creativity of Pierre Paulin has been a recipe for success since the 1960s.
With more than seventy pieces of furniture and fifty exceptional designs, this exhibition looks back on forty years of creation from the perspective of the designer. Visitors will be taken on a chronological journey of iconic Artifort designs that include the Mushroom, the Ribbon and the Butterfly chair.
Feel free to try them out for yourself! Never-before-seen drawings, films and documents provide additional insight into the creation of these designs.

Paulin and Artifort's icons
Artifort creates innovative, comfortable furniture designed to last a lifetime. The secret lies in the craftsmanship and the high-quality materials used to design and produce in an innovative way at the factories. When Pierre Paulin first started working for Artifort, he introduced new techniques and constructions.
ARTIFORT, ORANGE SLICE JUNIOR
In collaboration with the brand, he translated his ideas into stunning and sculptural seats like the Orange Slice and the Tongue chair. Paulin is the founding father of organic shapes. To him, furniture should envelope and protect. His designs are just as progressive and timeless now as they were when he first designed them, which is something Artifort continues to strive for.
