During the last edition of Cersaie, Cerasa has presented the new pieces of Des, the bathroom furniture collection whose name is an acronym: D=Deco, E=Elsa, S=Schiaparelli. The designer Stefano Spessotto was inspired by the great Italian designer and seamstress Elsa Schiaparelli, and by the world of fashion, shapes and environments of the early twentieth century, when Art Deco was the absolute protagonist.

Des is a highly versatile collection. The possibility of choosing different materials and of interchanging them on the panel of the fronts allow the creation of always new, unique and exclusive elements. The design idea, on which the collection is based, is the realization of a front with frame: the frame is available in 2 veneered finishes, Noce Chiaro and Eucalipto, in addition to the matt lacquered finishes in any colour, and can be matched with the front panel available in many different materials, thus creating colour combinations at liking. The large choice of material has been defined not only in terms of aesthetics, but also in terms of costs, by including materials such as laminates, lacquer, wood, Laminam®, glass, fabric and decorated veneers.

The opening is possible thanks to a special processing in the frame of the front, making it clean and discreet at the sight. Beyond being enriched by the presence of several materials, the Des collection can be embellished with particular feet, which recall the furniture proposals of the early '900 and are in black lacquered metal. This black lacquered metal is proposed also in other complements of this collection, whose aesthetics create an important furnishing value: the particular full-height units, the equipped folding screens, the multi-purpose valet stands, the mirrors with integrated lighting, the freestanding bathtub, the coffee tables and the seats.

Des collection includes a series of elements thought to furnish the bathroom, but absolutely transversals and suitable for other rooms. Cerasa presents a wide proposal both in terms of matching sets, with the creation of an exclusive mixer and particular lamps, and in terms of style identity, to be shared throughout the home.

With the Des collection, Cerasa experiences the fabric for the first time. The study and the detailed analysis of the material, together with the use of the latest technologies, allowed the use of this particular and interesting material also in the bathroom. The proposed fabric has been created and specially made for Cerasa; the fabric patterns have been exclusively created by the architect Silvia Prevedello and have also been included as coordinated in the proposal for wallpaper. The four subjects express a strong identifying character and refer to ethnic and geometric inspirations, to distant worlds and philosophies, mixing, with unprecedented overlaps, even subjects belonging to the animal world.

CERSAIE is the perfect place where present a new further opportunity, born from the partnership with Inkiostro Bianco: it is exactly the wallpaper the new material proposed to be inserted in front’s frames; the large range of subjects selected by Cerasa offers always new aesthetic solutions, which are able to satisfy different tastes and give an unique character to every composition.
