Soft, cozy, ergonomic, Bross seats feature upholstery seeming almost out of scale

02/10/2024 - Soft, cozy, ergonomic, Bross seats feature 'soft curves'. Their upholstery determines the aesthetics of the product: thick, to the point of seeming almost out of scale, it is pleasing to the eye and comfortable. From the collaboration with Marco Zito for the SIT and Baia collections, to the one with Monica Armani for Aretha, Bross declines this style of decor with its consolidated craftsmanship experience, combining them with woodworking and care for its details.

When upholstered in neutral nuances, it suggests elegant and light products, resembling vaporous clouds that decorate living areas, lounges or hybrid spaces; when wrapped in fabrics in pastel or bright tones, it emphasizes important volumes and turns them into protagonists.

The design of SIT is shaped precisely from the shell, which is wide and voluminous: in the lounge version with or without an integrated side table and in the chaise longue, it is shaped according to a fluid profile, with some parts with greater thickness to ensure comfort.

The back develops on only two sides and allows several models to be placed side by side to create functional islands or even to bring closer a pouf from the same family, useful as an additional seat or to stretch the legs. Thin metal legs with black, brushed bronze or customizable RAL finish on request, support the armchair and create a pleasant contrast between the lightness of the structure and the 'bold' toned shell.

Marco Zito works with upholstery also in the Baia collection, a line composed of two compact armchairs where the back and armrests, created from a single rounded profile, are punctuated by vertical or horizontal seams with an elegant quilting effect.

These create small waves, with different thicknesses and lengths, that define the identity of the product, while the four wooden legs, with natural, stained or matt lacquered finish, extend vertically, delimiting the shell.

The name Aretha immediately alludes to the famous American singer, and thus declares her 'curvy' features. Designer Monica Armani creates for Bross a sinuous collection, where volumes are particularly evident in the lounge chair and the dining armchair, in its version with armrest. In both, in fact, the backrest seems to fold back to conceal the graft of the solid wood frame and thus doubles its thickness, for a full and harmonious effect, enveloping and comfortable. The base can also be customized with matt lacquer finishes, and upholstery can be selected in fabric or leather.
