08/03/2023 - Diabla continues to defy the rules: the outdoor brand - with a completely new approach to outdoor life - launches CACAO designed by Odosdesign, an upholstered inflatable lounger that can be transformed into a daybed thanks to a textured power-coated aluminium frame that complements it.
“We wanted to experiment with inflatables for the outdoors from another, more sophisticated point of view,” say Ana Segovia and Luis Calabuig from Odosdesign.
Lounger, lilo, daybed, informal bed for naps... This object is an invitation to enjoy the most fun outdoor pleasures. And it does so through an irresistible design reminiscent of a chocolate bar. Thus, its naming.
The new nomadic lifestyles and the ease of travelling around the globe open up a whole new world of opportunities for inflatable furniture, which can accompany us on our journeys, regardless of their nature. CACAO’s fanciful character connects with those open, unpredictable and unconventional minds that dream of projecting themselves in Antarctica with all the comforts of the home, or plunging into the “cotton castle” waters of Pamukkale’s natural rock pools, in the south of Turkey. Dreamlike images that become much more feasible thanks to the ingenuity of designs like CACAO.
In CACAO, everything is surprising: it inflates and deflates easily and adapts to all outdoor spaces in a surprising way, without overlooking the functionality of the design. “We wanted to experiment with inflatables from another, more sophisticated point of view”,explains Ana.
The mattress is made of white PVC and the powder-coated aluminium frame - which offers a range of up to 7 colours - is removable for easy transport from the beach to the pool and for storage in winter.
