Caimi responded with ingenuity and innovation to the call with their contribution to the project headed by Ratti, Rota, Gatto, and F&M, offering visitors a true sensory experience: silence.
The 80-metre-long tunnel, covered with 800 completely white sound-absorbing Flat panels, designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda, enabled visitors to listen to and internalise the countless stimuli and impressions soaked up during their visit to the Pavilion, immersed in an unexpected and surprising silence. Above all, the walk through the tunnel afforded visitors the opportunity to perceive the connection between beauty and listening, and the integration between ethical and aesthetic values.
In this unique space, capable of eliciting such strong interest, Caimi Brevetti demonstrated its role as a leader in the field of sound absorption. Acoustic comfort and well-being are at the centre of the company’s scientific research, and its Snowsound technology was patented in 2011, named after the sense of peace and tranquillity that comes with freshly fallen snow. The design solutions proposed by the company are original, environmentally sustainable, and technologically advanced, designed to offer comfort, functionality, and beauty: the ways in which “beauty connects people” that have always been sought after and expressed in its products.
