At the 'Supersalone', a special event of the Salone del Mobile (Milan Furniture Fair), Caimi will present two additions to its highly recognized and iconic Socrate outdoor system designed by Mario Trimarchi and Caimi Lab. The two new additions, designed with contemporary lifestyles in mind, offer completely new solutions both from an aesthetic and from an acoustic point of view.
Snowgems, design (a+b) Dominoni, Quaquaro, is a system made up of variously shaped Snowsound sound- absorbing panels that can be strung together like gems on a necklace, and can be fitted to various different types of structure. Snowgems are a novel way of modulating the sound reverberations in a room while also furnishing it with elements with a calming and softening effect.
Snowpouf, is the name of a newly minted Caimi project. Designed by Paola Navone, the very fetching and easy-to-carry pouf is covered with Snowsound Fiber, a special Caimi-patented sound-absorbing fabric. Its barrel form is reminiscent of a Chinese drum but, rather than emitting sound, the Snowpouf enhances the sounds already present in the rooms and increases the level of acoustic comfort.
Caimi is also taking part, by invitation, in Cult & Must, an event set up by Superstudio Più and curated by Giulio Cappellini, which tells the story of the last 20 years of design through the most emblematic projects. The event consists of a journey of discovery of iconic objects that are representative of Italian know-how.
As part of this event, Caimi will be showcasing some of the many projects and objects that have done so much to turn the company into an international success story. They include “Flat,” a system designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda that is based on Snowsound acoustic panels which embed a technology that revolutionized and brought an entirely new look to the world of sound absorption.
Also on display will be Ulisse chairs, modular sheet plate pieces of furniture designed by Caimi Lab that were a landmark product for the company. Present in numerous public places around the world, the chairs are now available in new chromatic versions.
Caimi will also be showcasing Botanica, designed by Mario Trimarchi, a collection of sound-absorbing panels that give poetic expression to Caimi’s green spirit, as well as Arianna, the versatile and modular system of partitions designed by Caimi Lab.
All the projects and products are eco-sustainable and were conceived, designed and manufactured with a view to offering comfort, functionality and beauty.
