07/05/2025 - Caracole debuts at Salone del Mobile 2025 with two complete collections for the living and sleeping areas designed by Claudio Bellini Studio. Balancing organic forms and tactile materials, designer Claudio Bellini and brand president Alessandro Fabrini introduce Fleur and Overlap in a video interview with Archiproducts.
Shaped by sinuous curves and enriched with tailored details and refined materials, such as flamed Canaletto walnut and ivory mohair fabrics, Fleur draws inspiration from natural design. Organic lines become a poetic interpretation in 'Flair,' a style and sense of ease aligned with the brand's philosophy of quiet luxury.
"The starting point, working on the sofa," explains Claudio Bellini, "is a kind of ribbon made of plywood, which embraces the soft part of the seat - the upholstery. There is a contrast between the supporting part and the soft part that welcomes the user. The theme of the embrace runs throughout the entire collection."
Fleur is a comprehensive collection for both day and night, featuring sofas, armchairs, and coffee tables for the living area, as well as tables and chairs for the dining room, and beds and storage units for the sleeping area.
The Overlap collection celebrates the material quality of natural stone, softened by subtle detailing. Sculptural and visually impactful, the collection is built on the balance between contrasting materials that coexist in perfect harmony.
"It's a collection defined by very clean, minimal lines, because it plays with the combination of two somewhat opposing elements - the upholstered part and something much more solid: marble blocks that act as legs, but at the same time create an offset with respect to the upholstered section and so become functional surfaces."
Natural stone, like travertine and black Marquina marble, used for the structure of the upholstered parts and table surfaces, is paired with soft fabrics in a palette of natural tones, accented by gold-finished details.
"The collaboration with Claudio and his studio," says Alessandro Fabrini, "arose from a specific desire on our part to open to a global perspective - we are a global brand, and we need to incorporate sensibilities from around the world, which vary slightly from continent to continent. Both collections reflect this contrast of materials, which is aligned with our slightly ‘disrupted’ vision."
