New Cassina Pro products for Executive and Home Office

Exord armchair by Jeffrey Bernett
Exord is a high-back, swivel or automatic return, armchair that responds to today's need for comfort in the home or office. Ergonomic and welcoming, the armchair is the first project by the American designer Jeffrey Bernett for Cassina.
The form of the armchair has been designed to give support to the body and features differentiated padding depending on the support area. The upholstery is available in a single colour leather or fabric, or a selection of two- tone fabric combinations that further enhance the geometric shape of the piece, while its four-spoke base is in anthracite painted steel, polished aluminium or black painted aluminium.
In an upcycling perspective, Exord also has a conscious approach to the environment as its components can be separated at the end of its life cycle.
The armchair with a steel base is completed with a matching four-spoke pouf with the same upholstery combinations. An optional cushion is also available to provide extra lumbar support when legs are resting on the pouf.

Petit bureau en forme libre desk by Charlotte Perriand – Cassina I Maestri Collection
Charlotte Perriand started working on the en forme libre series of tables in 1938. This elegant writing desk with its smooth, rounded edges and asymmetrical form was designed in 1956 as a clever solution for smaller spaces thanks to its contained dimensions: a “free form” that can be freely used. Today, in collaboration with Pernette Perriand-Barsac, small changes have been made to make the Petit bureau en forme libre desk suitable for professional use. A cable passage positioned on the left-hand side of the desk top leads to a built-in power unit, sold separately, that features two USB sockets (type A+N and C) and a plug socket. The cable entry pocket cover is upholstered in black or tobacco coloured saddle leather, just like the optional, non- slip desk pad to protect the desk’s surface. A reinforcing metal structure has also been incorporated inside the wide, oval leg and two smaller cylindrical ones to guarantee further stability.

LC10 Bureau La Semaine à Paris desk by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand - Cassina I Maestri Collection
The editorial offices of the weekly Parisian magazine La Semaine à Paris were built as part of a collective project by a group of renowned figures from the Modern Movement, mainly from the Union des Artistes Modernes (UAM) founded in 1929.
The Table dalle polie by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand, presented at the Salon d’Automne in 1929, was adapted for the administrator's office. Charlotte Perriand added a metal container to the side to store files and enlarged the cantilevered sheet of glass, slightly hollowing part of it to hold pens and pencils.
Cassina has reissued this desk, in collaboration with the Le Corbusier Foundation, Pernette Perriand-Barsac and the heirs of Pierre Jeanneret, with the utmost respect for authenticity, developing the project to meet the needs of the office today. The desk maintains its thick glass top, with a coloured structure underneath, and the characteristic integrated pencil holder like the original model. Inside the metal drawer unit, which supports part of the weight of the tabletop, there is a technical compartment that can provide integrated electrification and an easily accessible USB (A+C) socket on the side. Wiring is inserted through a low cable entry access and exits from the external side of the drawer unit.

New Cassina Pro products for Lobbies, Lounges & Restaurants

Cotone Slim sofa by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
This cosy sofa part of the Cotone family is characterised by the same distinctive structure, in anodized or graphite painted aluminium, but with a more contained size.
The frame, apparently simple due to its minimal aspect, hides an industrially sophisticated interior while the sofa’s soft cushion padding creates an inviting nest to relax in.
The wide choice of leather or fabric upholstery allows for a contemporary sofa that can respond to a variety of modern style projects from the office to the hospitality sector. Cotton Slim is available as a two-seater sofa, with a high back, encouraging visual and acoustic privacy particularly in public spaces, or a low back. The Cassina Pro Collection is completed with the single-sized Cotone armchair and the Cotone tables and coffee tables with a thick, matt black or grey anti-fingerprint laminated top.

Volage EX-S Slim sofa by Philippe Starck
The Volage EX-S Slim sofa, available as a standard or large two-seater, has a 75cm depth adapt for all types of projects from lounge areas and restaurants to executive offices and lobbies.
The sofa, characterised by extreme comfort and an elegant and timeless aesthetic, maintains the same quilted capitonné workmanship as the Volage family where the traditional button has been replaced with an elegant stich to accentuate the model’s gentle contours. Volage EX-S Slim has a single seat cushion and a very slim armrest to provide more seating space to host more people.

Certification and standards

The collection concentrates on the principal parameters of safety, quality, durability and performance. All Cassina Pro products have undergone stringent tests carried out by independent bodies in order to gain certifications for contract use. These include British Standard and California fire resistance certifications, the BIFMA certification for resistance and stability standards and, for a first selection of models, the Greenguard certification that guarantees that the products do not contain harmful substances that could compromise the air quality of the spaces where they are used. Additional certifications for projects can also be requested on demand.
Great attention has been paid to the materials and finishes specifically developed for the Cassina Pro Collection. High resistant leathers suitable for intensive use and certified for fire resistance have been introduced and an exclusive collaboration with Kvadrat has been developed for four best-selling fabrics certified with the most important fireproof tests. The collection will also be constantly updated with a selection of Graded-in fabrics, in addition to the collection, which feature all the technical characteristics necessary for the contract sector.
Some of the collection’s products have been further modified for professional use and have been fitted with optional power sources.
