28/10/2020 - The new
Very Wood collection is to be enriched with the addition of three new major projects designed by
Rodolfo Dordoni,
Patricia Urquiola and
This Weber.
Rodolfo Dordoni, whose first time this is to work with Very Wood, has designed a highly versatile chair that can be fashioned into various different light and sinuous forms using a single basic design.
EGADI is the name of this family of chairs, which come in three different forms: three models that are distinct from one another yet based on the same design principle, just as the magnificent Egadi archipelago that inspired the name is made up of three islands.
The original specifications demanded a chair that was sufficiently solid in structure, lightweight and well-proportioned. The measured use of solid wood not only enhances the aesthetic effect of the chair but also has the added benefit of reducing its weight.
With a view to exalting the details of the woodwork, the upholstered parts – the seat cushion and backrest – almost appear suspended, as if they were floating on the wooden structure. The upholstery comes in a wide range of fabrics, vinyls and leathers.
Patricia Urquiola is the creative force behind the
CRAYON and
CIGAR new-concept tables, designed to serve as inviting spaces where people can meet socially or professionally, indoors or out.
Their distinctive character is the sparseness of the neat linear design, which is slightly attenuated by a few delicate touches. The collection derives its name from the connector at the end of the support column, which in one configuration looks like a crayon and in another like a cigar. Patricia Urquiola decided upon the three warm and earthy colours that would be used in the collection: butter-yellow, terracotta and grey.
This Weber is the design studio behind the new line of
HERITAGE armchairs, whose inviting wrap-around form visually advertises the sort of comfort that the armchair delivers
The Heritage line comes with a judiciously chosen selection of different upholstery types, each of which imparts a different aspect to the furniture, which can therefore adapt its look to fit in perfectly with a classic or a contemporary-style environment.
