Colours, Textile Experimentations and Three-Dimensional Pattern
12/04/2018 -  Colour, textile experimentations and perceptive plays between a two-dimensional and a three-dimensional vision. For the Milan Design Week 2018 the shining spaces of the big flat dating back to the beginning of the century and located at via Tortona 31 welcome the latest proposals by 70 international brands, in an exhibition path reminding of colours and patterns experimented on different materials.

The team of Archiproducts Milano is preparing to welcome companies, architects, journalists and specialised public to introduce the new setting of the home-working, living and outdoor spaces which will host them throughout the year. The date is scheduled on April 16th.

An important role in the project of this new edition is played by colour, which from the walls to the fabrics going through the pieces of furniture completely redesigns spaces, even if in a gradual path that, more shy and rigorous in some areas of the building, sometimes discloses a stronger identity until it offers an experience you can completely dive in.

Colour and three-dimensional patterns are experimented on different surfaces and materials: aluminium chains, wallpaper, ceramics, velvet, sound-absorbing wood wool, acoustic fabrics, walls and furniture.

Black, silver and blue are the colours of the hundreds of very light anodized aluminium chains by Kriskadecor that give shape to the three-dimensional drawing on the façade, this year inspired by a desing by the Elisa Ossino Studio. Kriskadecor

Rigorous on the façade, the chromatic scale goes up inside thanks to the several pastel nuances, from powder pink to oil blue going through sage green. Each room has a different colour, obtained in cooperation with the German brand Caparol Icons and the very young File Under Pop located in Copenhagen, founded by Josephine Akvama Hoffmeyer, whose palette is scattered along some areas, thus giving them a stronger chromatic mark.

Every time colour talks with different pieces of furniture and materials: with the ceramics by Gruppo Florim, explored in its different shapes and colours in the project; the velvet by ONE Mario Sirtorithe curtains on the first floor are made up of and the fabric that the very brand gave as coating of the several pieces of furniture specifically designed for Archiproducts Milano. And with more technical materials, like the sound-absorbing wood wool plate Knauf AMF, realised in dark blue and covering one of the walls of the long corridor on the upper floor. File Under Pop

Furniture completes the chromatic path of the new setting. From SP01, with the interesting palette of the new collection designed by Tim Rundle; ONE Mario Sirtori

to Saba, this year exploring unprecedented patterns exclusively designed by the fashion designer Antonio Marras and exhibited in an original setting by Studio Milo. SP01

For the first time in its multi-coloured version, the Extrasoft sofa by Living Divani talks with the palette and geometries of the bigger room.

The perfect synthesis between material and colour experimentation is the installation by Dante Goods and Bads, a young German brand founded by Christophe de la Fontaine and Aylin Langreuter. In their project materials and colours meet and melt, from the container to the content, playing on the concept of three-dimensionality. Saba

Introduced by the façade pattern, where it is realised with aluminium chains, and experimented in the exhibition by Dante, three-dimensionality is explored on several surfaces: on the brand new ceramics collection designed by Zaven for Cedit, exhibited in compositions which are hung like paintings on the walls; on the fireproof fabric with acoustic properties designed by Giovanardi and in the patterns of wallpaper Texturae, visually widening the space. But these are just extracts from the forthcoming exhibition, as 70 brands are not few and there is much more to discover!
