Stilt Collection - District Eight sofas in wood and metal
Inspired by Vietnamese stilts, the Stilt collection combines oak wood and steel to create a modular sofa, an armchair with ottoman, a chaise longue, tables in different configurations and a bed."The metal," says Toan Nguyen, "completes the structure, playing a fundamental role, making it stable and lightening its silhouette. As much as wood is generous and full, metal is its exact opposite".
The cushions of the sofa and armchair rest on a shaped base made of curved wood and upholstered in handcrafted leather or fabric. The chaise longue takes up the sofa and armchair construction technique, reworking it with a tilting reclining structure and an adjustable headrest.
The Stilt table series is offered in different shapes and sizes, high and low versions, with round, square or rectangular tops, giving versatility and functionality.
Sinuous and subtle lines distinguish the Stilt bed, completely upholstered in handcrafted fabric or leather. The tailoring of the finishes emerges in the structural and decorative steel elements.
Joss Collection - District Eight sofas with curved lines
A monolithic solid wood base with curved lines is the hallmark of the Joss modular seating collection, in an explicit reference to the traditional pagodas of Southeast Asia. The sinuous lines of the base are reflected in the solid volumes of the cushions and armrests, giving each element a sculptural appearance.
