Maddalena Casadei's previous experience in designing with metal, of which she knows the merits and limits, has met with Quadrodesign in the ideal condition. The challenge was to use the metal sheet, a basic shape, and to work on the concept of geometric volumes: thus, for example, the towel bars take on a three-dimensional level from the same cut and bent sheet and the detail of the curves obtained from a flat surface becomes the protagonist. Functionality and cleanliness of the sign: an approach that cites rationalism in architecture from which the designer is fascinated, as from many objects, even anonymous ones with their details and finishes that mixed with experiences, dialogues and gestures originate the personal creative vision.
"Bathroom and kitchen accessories are secondary elements but with a strong presence, the simpler and cleaner the better. So slowly we worked to lighten and dry the line of this collection." This is how Maddalena Casadei explains when asked about challenges overcome in defining the collection.
"Since its foundation, we have thought and designed wanting the perception of Quadrodesign to be that of a design company, for which the faucets were one of the many declinations, maintaining the focus on the twenty years of experience gained on the production of stainless steel products. The meeting with Maddalena was based on this principle: Eccetera is the stylistic solution of a common thought between corporate vision and design realization". Enrico Magistro Quadrodesign’s co-owner and art director.
