25/02/2020 - effe by effegibi has partecipating in IMM Cologne for the first time under its new name, officially opening a new chapter in its story in Germany. The contemporary, sophisticated and minimal exhibition space showcases three custom-made versions of the YOKU 80 sauna, alongside a Turkish bath with the TOUCH&STEAM steam generator and a TUTTOVETRO INSIDE door.
YOKU is a modular sauna designed by Marco Williams Fagioli (Zup design). The name YOKU comes from a branch of Japanese natural medicine based on the beneficial effects of contact with plants and the forest atmosphere. The outstanding feature of YOKU is its natural and organic aesthetic. In order not to detract from the minimalist design, the heater is concealed, built into the lower bench.
To show how its products can be adapted to different project requirements, the effe display presents three versions of the YOKU 80 sauna in dark, solid heat-treated wood and transparent surfaces in 8 mm toughened glass. Each of the three saunas has a personalised front wall: one with a wooden or glass door, one with a free, uncluttered glass wall or one with wooden shelving.
A glass box with interior coverings in Slimtech houses the Hammam powered by the professional TOUCH&STEAM steam generator. Essential and compact, the generator consists of a screen-printed toughened glass panel with a visible thickness of only 3.7 cm. As well as coming complete with colour and aroma therapy, TOUCH&STEAM boasts a ventilation system which minimises temperature layering inside the cubicle, and an automatic boiler-cleaning system which prevents lime-scale build-up, keeping maintenance to a minimum.
The made-to-measure Hammam glass panels and doors come from the TUTTOVETRO INSIDE collection of doors and panels which are fitted flush with the floor. Produced in 8 mm toughened glass and stainless steel, they are designed to create a perfect seal against escaping steam and ensure correct air recirculation. The bathroom fittings are by Dornbracht, thanks to the company’s partnership with the prestigious German brand.
