07/08/2020 - Material research is the key to interpreting the
EWC collection by
Wall&decò, the creation of which, since its first edition, has been based on full collaboration with designers such as Studiopepe and Christian Benini: surfaces to be explored with the hands as well as seen, a universe of micro signs, 3d textures, inlays, engravings and light details in metal that create real basreliefs.
Due to its nature, the production of Essential Wallpaper Collection has an articulated development, which is not part of digital dynamics - and requires long processing times, first on the original material element, then on the transposition of this element on printing cylinders that faithfully report the relief and embossing, the colors, the metal lamination.
These are the characteristics that make it so material and precious, and at the same time these are the characteristics that make it so complex to realize.
In this period, due to the health emergency, all those steps that would have led to finalize the new collection, unmistakable in its material identity, were missing.
Therefore, postponing the presentation until next year, Wall&decò has created a visual reinterpretation project that enhances the high decorative value of EWC's textures, applied to the world of design, outlining different settings and different uses.
The Essential Wallpaper Collection, able to connote spaces with a refined and noninvasive aesthetic, finds its place within all the settings in which research into details and textures characterise the project itself. It is also suitable for the bathroom, thanks to its washability characteristics.
Its availability in prompt delivery, its 70x1000 cm roll size, as well as its technical specifications (fire resistance class, high impact resistance and washability) make it a product suitable for residential, commercial and contract use.
