Feelgood Designs at Biënnale Interieur Kortrijk 2016

The collection in a new finish and adding a new wooden line

05/10/2016 - Feelgood Designs has been the leading name in rattan chairs for a few years now. Models like the C317 lounge, the C607 chair and barstool and the basket chair have become genuine classics. The wide range on show will include two successful reissues by designer Yuzuru Yamakawa, the C317 lounge chair and the C607 chair and stool in a number of new finishes.

Less well known is that the Feelgood Designs collection also includes a line of high-quality wooden chairs and tables. To put this right, a selection of wooden furniture will be shown at the Biennale Interieur Kortrijk. It includes work by Scandinavian designers Isabel Ahm and Allan Nøddebo.

C317: six colour combinations
The timeless beauty of the C317 lounge chair is increasingly lauded – which only increases the demand for more finishes. Feelgood Designs responds with a number of new colour combinations. Six different frame and colour combinations are now available: - Indoor: Black and natural is supplemented by a new combination white and natural.
- Outdoor: Black and honey is supplemented by three new combinations: black and black, white and honey, and white and white.

The new colours and cushions ensure the C317 lounge chair goes even better with other Feelgood Designs collection items.

C607 chair and stool: maroon seat, black frame
The C607’s rattan seat is now available in maroon alongside the existing natural and charcoal. A more ecofriendly black powder-coated frame will gradually replace the chrome frame across the whole indoor series. The combination of warm red-brown tints and the black frame are totally on trend. The C607 series will ultimately be available in five colour combinations: the new indoor combinations black and natural, black and charcoal, and black and maroon, as well as the existing outdoor combinations black and black, and white and white. These elegant models look fantastic in every interior.

Just like all other durable split rattan seats, the maroon finish comes with a PVC coating to protect against drying out and discolouration. The C607 is also suited to intensive use and easy to stack, so these chairs and stools are also perfect for projects.

Peggy by Isabel Ahm
Peggy is a traditional chair in a contemporary design that is simple and minimalist. The fine lines, subtle semicircular frame and curved seat and back means this elegant chair is perfectly suited to residential and commercial use in various settings. The chair has a frame in solid American oak and a seat and back in laminated American oak veneer. The traditional mortise and tenon joints ensure a solid structure, while the two-pack water-based finish is very environmentally friendly. Peggy is available in natural and black.

Valby by Allan Nøddebo
“I like to combine various styles, periods and materials,” says Allan Nøddebo. “That enables me to achieve clean forms with good proportions and surprising details. And it also gives me the justification to add a product to a world that is already full of beautiful things.” Nøddebo has certainly managed to do that with Valby: a substantial, sturdy chair with a natural look and a striking back in curved veneer that creates a seamless design.

Like Peggy, Valby has mortise and tenon joints and a two-pack water-based finish. Frame, seat and back are in American oak. Valby is available in natural and black.

Trestle table by Allan Nøddebo
Think trestle table and the first thing that springs to mind is a rough-and-ready, rickety structure. Alan Nøddebo’s Trestle Table is nothing at all like that. This light, almost floating table design is surprisingly sturdy and stable.  A powder-coated stainless steel frame creates a suspended connection between legs and tabletop. The plywood top with American oak faces is reinforced with an internal metal frame. The Trestle Table is available in naturel or black, in three sizes: 180 x 90 cm, 210 x 95 cm and 240 x 100 cm. The black top is finished with a two-pack water-based finish.

Feelgood Designs combines classic and contemporary designs with traditional craftsmanship and natural materials. The sophisticated collection is characterised by high quality, attention to ergonomics and an eye for detail. Feelgood Designs has been active on the European market since 2013.
