Furniture for Life: Open Models and Volumes in Movement
12/03/2019 - Ceramica Globo confirms its presence at ISH once again this year. The stand bears the signature of the new artistic direction of Angeletti Ruzza Design. Ceramica Globo presents its latest products at Messe Frankfurt in an itinerary that accompanies visitors through the Bagno di Colore, Le Pietre, T-Edge, Genesis and Stone collections.

Silvana Angeletti and Daniele Ruzza designed a stand that perfectly reflects the philosophy behind the new direction recently inaugurated with Globo. The project is inspired by the concept of happiness as an essential component of people’s lives. Within this framework, words such as openness, life, movement and color are the foundations on which to design products that meet a primary need for contemporary living. We live in an extremely fragile society, but today more than ever, it is necessary to have the courage to accept what happens to us without giving up on our own life project’, explain Angeletti and Ruzza. ‘To put ourselves on the line in order to rediscover the colors, beauty, and richness of the meanings that are around us and within us. Living sincere relationships where feelings such as kindness, tenderness, spontaneity, empathy, respect, acceptance, care, sharing, spirituality and truth become the way to achieving a happy life’.

These concepts led to the decision of inserting a circular element that repeats itself within the Ceramica Globo stand at ISH. The circle, like an embrace, is a universal form of communication, an allegorical and ideal representation of Globo’s opening to the world, as a symbol of infinity and the expression of fullness and harmony, suggesting movement and, therefore, life.

The stand appears as an open space, a framework that remains in suspended, breathing equilibrium. Everything moves: the central volumes and the back walls convey a free way of living with dynamic models. This movement is also represented through color, which is vital, never static and never equal to itself because each person perceives it in a unique and personal way. Finally, the strong textile presence, unusual in a stand of sanitary fixtures, is a metaphor for the desire for warmth, tenderness and humanity that pervades the ‘spiritual home’ where a personal relationship with objects, materials and colors changes in a subtle and delicate way. The all-round protagonists of this elective setting are Ceramica Globo’s most important new products for 2018/2019. The exclusive preview speaks in terms of simplicity and lightness, with a determined openness to expanding the range with new possibilities of form, materials and finishes.
