designed by Arik Levy
play with the contrast of spirit and materiality, invisibility and presence. Available in pendant and table lamp, Ghost is made of premium triplex opal glass that is meticulously mouthblown.
“Ghost is the pure expression of the immateriality of mouthblown glass that projects a sensuous halo in space', says Arik Levy. 'This sensation is enhanced with the Ghost table lamp, a visual sculpture both when the light is on or off. Its double composition creates a family of giant and generous forms whose smooth surface and texture radiate a gentle and warm light. Despite its evanescence, it becomes a kind of companion in the living environment.”
The Ghost table lamp features a stacked silhouette of bulbous forms made of mouth-blown opal triplex glass that radiates a warm, welcoming glow. A black band encircles the midsection, accentuating its sensuous curves while serving as a hand-touch dimmer for the push version. The luminaire, available in three sizes, is offered in white, burgundy, or amber diffusers for personalised lighting effects.
True to its namesake, the Ghost hanging lamp possesses an ethereal presence. Large in scale yet elegant in sensibility, the luminaire floats overhead from nearly invisible cables to provide a focal point in any space. The sculptural pendant hangs low for dramatic effect. It’s made of mouth-blown opal triplex glass with a smooth surface that radiates a warm, welcoming glow.
The designs are among the largest blown-glass luminaires in the lighting industry and require several skilled artisans to manipulate the substantial pieces and craft them by hand. The multistep process yields a rich, smooth surface, its three layers of glass generating a diffuse, glare-free glow that bathes a space in soft light.
