Hay's new autumn collection is a study of simplicity, versatility and the relationship between space, form and light. From fluted glass to minimalist mechanics, retro shapes to architectural precision, each piece strikes a balance between thoughtful restraint and functional innovation. Designers
Rui Pereira,
Ryosuke Fukusada,
John Tree,
Christian Juhl and
Aspekt Office have contributed to the brand's autumn catalogue with pendant, clip, desk, wall and table lamps.
Rui Pereira and Ryosuke Fukusada's
Brim Pendant references retro glass pendants reinterpreted in a contemporary key. The fluted pressed glass shade in smoked grey, bottle green or clear glass houses an internal sphere that conceals the bulbs for even light distribution. The pendant can be hung individually or clustered to create more dynamic compositions and effects. The smooth transition from cord to shade emphasises the simplicity and functionality of the design.

The
Cupola Lamp series by British designer John Tree is an excellent example of the intersection of form and function. The architectural clip, desk or wall lamp has a round head and a 360° rotating mechanism. Precision-crafted from aluminium with a "silky" anodised finish, the objects have an industrial feel, while the adjustable head and swivel mount make them adaptable to various uses and spaces.
According to designer Christian Juhl, the shape of the elongated
Drome table lamp was inspired by the elliptical shape of the Athens Olympic Stadium. The hollow white opal acrylic construction covers an integrated LED source for soft ambient lighting, while its smooth curves add visual interest. The inline step dimmer further enhances the flexibility of the luminaire.
Designers Aspekt Office found inspiration for the new
Ono Flush Mount wall luminaire in an old army lantern. The wall luminaire comes in two sizes: a smaller, more accentuated cone shape and a larger, flatter version, both surrounding a central light source whose diffusion creates a 'halo' effect.
Finally, a bare bulb design,
The Common Pendant Cord, is a series of colourful components for pendant and table lamps. These disarmingly simple elements can be used alone or in series to create flexible, playful compositions.
