A frosted acetate finish, delicately adding just theright glow to your interior, softens each textured blown glass globe. Brought together by a black powder coated steel frame, this suspended family will leave you star gazing. Stellar Grape by pulpo

Sebastian Herkner returns to his exploration of glass production, highlighting clear textured surfaces against smooth frosted semi-spheres; simple forms that utilize the ability of glass to distort and reflect.

Inspired by the intergalactic and by Dionysiac shapes, Herkner has used repetition in pattern and geometric sensibility to create a collection bordering on the unidentified. Like seeing the night skies brightest through a telescope, Stellar’s soft glow requires closer inspection to see its detailed surface. Appearing like deep ravines on the moon’s surface, its handblown glass form reveals a semi-sphere full of curved ridges. Frosted acetate is added to its smooth opposite, creating a warming glow. As a whole, the plump grapes form a still and harmonious bunch, between the natural and the sublime.

Available in three sizes, the Stellar range can be used as part of a larger constellation or sit at the center of its own universe. A color palette ranging from the softer clear or white, to smoky grey and aubergine, allows playfulness in creating your own illuminated Milky Way.
