JOLI honoured with the Balthazar Award
26/11/2015 - JOLI was honoured at the Brussels Furniture Fair with a Balthazar Award in the category ‘Best of Belgium’ for its Marguerite, a design by the Antwerp designer Mathias De Ferm.

This is not the first award JOLI received for Marguerite this year. The chair was also given the Red Dot Award 2015 for ‘Best Design Concept of the Year’ in the ‘furniture design’ category. The jury was full of praise for its well-balanced proportions and the optional features that make this chair such a highly versatile piece of furniture.

“‘Marguerite has the JOLI DNA: the pursuit of a balance between innovative design and the highest possible degree of functionality. The fact that Marguerite is honoured both in Belgium with a Balthazar for ‘Best of Belgium’ and internationally with the Red Dot Award 2015 demonstrates once again that our approach to design has tremendous national and international appeal”, said John Ghekiere, JOLI’s proud CEO.

Marguerite is elegant, very comfortable to sit in and looks great both indoors and outside. It owes this to its inviting, organic design and innovative bucket seat inlay cushions. This lightweight chair is made from white, taupe, dark brown, anthracite, black, red or yellow lacquered aluminium and is available with or without armrests.

The optional inlay cushions, available in leather (13 colours) and Torres faux leather (8 colours), lend the design a luxurious, versatile twist. An inlay cushion in UV and weather-resistant polypropylene yarn (‘Nautic Linen’ in 3 colours) was designed specifically for outdoor use.
