24/03/2023 - OTO Chair, the sustainable One to One chair inspired by the circular economy, arrives at Fuorisalone 2023 for the first time, exhibited in the spaces of Alcova. Made of recycled plastic from marine debris, the minimalist seat is the manifesto project that marks the birth of the brand. It is produced and sold by optimizing all the production steps: a single mould, a space-saving and ecological "packaging", and an intuitive assembly that revolutionize the entire industrial supply chain. "We immediately understood that using recycled materials was not enough," said designers Alessandro Stabile and Martinelli Venezia. "We had to think of something that would systematize the entire sustainable supply chain, from production to logistics to distribution and assembly, to stimulate the public with a product capable of activating new awareness." The sustainable One to One chair is born from the collaboration with Ogyre, the first Italian digital platform that involves fishermen's fleets to recover marine debris. The collected plastic is reinserted into production to generate a mono-material and mountable chair to clean the oceans of 500 grams of waste for each sample. Minimalist and democratic, the seat comes to life from a single mould one-third of the standard size and is purchased online. It arrives at the buyer's home in one day inside a flat package made of recyclable and recycled cellulose pulp. Without screws or inserts, the sustainable One to One chair is assembled quickly and easily by interlocking. Thanks to its durability and low cost, the sustainability of OTO Chair translates into inclusivity, as it is accessible to anyone who shares its values. The object's concept fascinated Alex Pegoraro, CEO of the Venetian contract furniture brand ADD, who in 2022 took on the designers' challenge and founded the One To One brand around this revolutionary chair.

"One To One," explains Pegoraro, "is born from a production mentality that translates into conscious choices to activate a lifestyle that benefits sustainability."

"One To One starts from OTO Chair," continues the CEO of ADD, "to outline shortly a limited catalogue, where each object aspires to be a new icon. A collection characterized by heterogeneity, from furniture to lifestyle, clothing to accessories. A commercial proposal that goes beyond traditional logic and outlines a new scenario focused on innovation, quality, and the future."
