19/05/2020 - Lema has been selected as a partner for the supply of custom furnishings for the 37 apartments of the One MonteCarlo project, an exclusive real estate development in the center of the Principality of Monaco, near the iconic Place du Casino, between the Hôtel de Paris and the Petite Afrique Gardens.
The project includes towers mainly for residential use, as well as offices spaces, commercial spaces, art galleries and a new pedestrian public area with luxury boutiques and restaurants.
The apartments, from two bedrooms to a six-bedroom triplex with panoramic terrace and private pool, available for long-term rentals, enjoy an extraordinary view of Monaco and the sea.
The complex that interprets the charm of the typical French Riviera in a contemporary key has been designed by Sir Richard Rogers of the well-known London architecture firm Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners whilst the interior design is by Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille of 4BI & Associates, whose portfolio includes projects for the Four Seasons Hotel in London and the Plaza Athénée Hotel.
Bruno Moinard and Claire Betaille have chosen to pay homage to Monaco and the Riviera by designing spaces with interplay of volumes, where transparency, light and sea views immerse guests in the exclusive Monegasque mood.
The choice of using local noble materials, such as wood and marble, is expressed in the curved shapes and in the refinement of every single detail. This decision to create curved, elegant and sinuous lines to shape the spaces is also reflected in the bespoke furnishings conceived as a continuity of the exterior.
Thanks to its deep technical know-how, Lema has supported the architects in every development phase, creating custom curves wardrobes and walk-in closets with noble woods, matching the bed headboards, completely made to measure and characterized by textile coverings with precious geometric embroidery.
Lema's intervention also involved interior doors also made to design with wooden inlays, brass inserts, marble frames in addition to the special coverings with luminous grooves of the apartments corridor walls.
In the living areas, Lema has crafted custom-made furniture elements complete with hi-tech lighting systems and controls for home automation. Finally, custom furnishings, mirrors and glass doors with special finishes were supplied for the all marble bathrooms, ever maintaining the softness and lightness of the lines, the common thread of One MonteCarlo. The furnishings of the three lobbies of the complex are also by Lema.
