Lema Flagship Store in Luxembourg
07/03/2019 - The 8th of March sees the opening of the new Lema flagship store in Luxembourg in Bissen. The new space is characterised for its concept which showcases two living spaces, each one divided into entrance, living room, dining area and night zone.

The first project opens with the armchairs BICE by Roberto Lazzeroni, passe-partout with a vintage soul and the side tables SIGN by Studio Kairos characterised by the refined structure in metal combined with the top in opaque or shiny lacquer. Together, the storage cases CONCHIGLIA by Studiocharlie characterised by a geometric pattern with a strong graphic impact given by the drawers and doors that gradually diminish in size, as in a spiral, that concludes in an empty space, beginning and end of the movement.

At the heart of the house is the dining area furnished with the SHADE dining table by Francesco Rota together with the elegant chairs BEA by Roberto Lazzeroni. Shade is characterised by a harmonious pairing between the metal bronzed base and the fine top in contrast which is proposed for this project in clay. The sculptural base is formed by delicate layers in treated metal placed in an asymmetrical cross shape: it is the game of light and shade of the metal grill from which the project derives its name.

The living space project continues with the system sofa, YARD combines the modularity of a sofa with that of the retentive systems. Together with the corner sofa are the side table OYDO and MR.ZHENG. Other project by Francesco Rota, with a light and essential design, OYDO - in two shapes, one with a round top and the other lower with a rectangular top - is characterised by its metal structure and the top in numerous finishes: heat-treated oak, clay, Grey stone, opaque lacquer and the precious Portoro marble with its decisive expression. Oriental inspiration for MR.ZHENG by Roberto Lazzeroni. The symmetric game of the bamboo like base defines it, the structure is made out of 10mm steel rods which are welded in horizontal and vertical crossroads.

In front of the sofa, a composition of the day system T030 by Piero Lissoni and SELECTA library system by Officinadesign Lema. The lounge chair and pouf LENNOX by Gordon Guillaumier complete the day living area, designing a corner dedicated to relax.

Lastly, the night zona sees as a protagonist the VICTORIANO bed, with its tall headboard, which has been slightly curved on the sides to hold the mattress and embellished with saddle stitch detailing down the middle and the soft, uninterrupted lines of the bed frame. The result is an extremely elegant proposal with a classic yet modern appeal, that easily adapts to any home. Together, the side table VIC, all by Roberto Lazzeroni. In front, the armchairs FANTINO by Gordon Guillaumier and the side tables SIGN by Studio Kairos. With its compact forms, thanks to the sinuous lines, Fantino recalled vaguely the shape of a horse saddle placed on a base of heat treated oak. The soft yet compact upholstery reduces the volume of the chair, balancing the proportions, yet maintaining an unparalleled comfort.

The story of the attitude to modular spaces and bespoke products typical to Lema is handed to the wardrobes DANDY and TEXT by Officinadesign Lema, refined expressions of the Armadio al Centimetro, the unique and versatile, tailor made program launched by Lema in the 80s, that provides maximum design freedom, thanks to the wide range of available modules and the possibility to adapt the height, length and width of the furniture.

The programme has been enriched further by the LEMA AIR CLEANING SYSTEM which, for the first time ever, sees the wardrobe play an active role in the sanitisation of clothing and footwear.

Also in the living concept there is ample space dedicated to the modular systems by Officinadesign Lema: the wardrobe OPEN with no doors and the library SELECTA in the day area, the open closet space NOVENOVE in the night zone.
The project, an elegant open space, sees the dining area furnished with the GRACELAND dining table by Christophe Pillet, with its vintage accent and with its clean and rational lines. The metal varnished bronze structure is opposed with the lightness of the top in reconstructed marble in Malachite green, exclusive material finish developed by Lema. Together the elegant chairs TABBY by Gordon Guillaumier.

In the living area another design signed by the Maltese designer, JERMYN. A timeless sofa, which names already evokes the intention to create a tailor-made product. Jermyn takes in fact its name after the homonymous London road where the most important tailoring brands are located. The structure of the armrests and backrest play on contained thicknesses, like soft petals that lightly open up to accommodate the large seat cushions that match the comfort of the design’s linearity. The flat sectional legs, in fused bronzed metal, support the frame, lifting it up off the ground. The stitching, typical of Guillaumier’s design and symbol of Lema’s attention to details, runs along the external lining of the armrests and backrest, characterising the sofa and exalting the structure’s curvature.
The space is enriched by the refined and enveloping bergère LADY JANE by Christophe Pillet that recalls the style of the 50s and the sophisticated coffee table MR.ZHENG by Roberto Lazzeroni and MANSION by Pillet.

Near to the living area, the home office area with desk NOVELIST by Christophe Pillet in metal and Canaletto wood combined with the sophisticated HATI chair by Piero Lissoni and the library BOOKEN by Raw Edges. Contemporary table, shelf and library, it represents a unique interpretation of the library concept.

Closing the night area is the THEO bed by Studio Kairos, with its sobre and elegant lines, characterised by a fine profile of the headboard and harmonious contract with the structure, interrupting the linear forms, proposed in fabric upholstery. The night tables FLOWERS, petals in lacquered wood on a base of metal, with a 50s soul, in the style of Roberto Lazzeroni.
