Lema - The Art of Dialogue

The 2020 projects as chapters of a harmonious creative narrative

24/09/2020 - Lema unveils the 2020 projects, designs that are very different from one another for their rhythm and stylistic signature, however, all conceived as the harmonic notes of a single score. Lema’s proposals are conceived to dialogue amongst themselves but at the same time to also live as single pieces, adapting themselves to personal homes and lifestyles.

An articulated concept where dialogue represents, on the one hand, the idea of home as a privileged space of relationships and sharing, and on the other hand, the meeting point of forms and materials, aesthetics and function that characterises Lema’s proposals.

Designing the 2020 projects are designers close to Lema’s world, as well as new creative collaborations.

Piero Lissoni, Lema’s art director since 1994, designs SESTO, a table characterised by the lightness of the rectangular top supported by the double trestle base; Roberto Lazzeroni’s refined style with a vintage spirit characterises LUCYLLE, the new family of seating consisting of chair, dining chair with armrests, high and low stool and lounge chair; the expressive character of Dainelli Studio Maddix armchair tells the story of the beauty of living and natural materials like wood and leather; Matteo Nunziati creates the TARSIA, a lounge chair that is rigorous, but at the same time delicate, characterised by the shaped forms of the solid wood frame.
Result of new collaborations are the VENISE sofa system, the YAKI sofa bed, the GULLWING table, the FLORENS sideboard, the ORTIS coffee tables and the ALEY pouf designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti. Federica Biasi presents UMA bench, an elegant object in its discreet aesthetics and innate versatility.
The PLAIN modular bookcase by Francesco Rota enriches itself with new storage units in matt lacquered wood, in 35 colours, proposed in three versions, two open storage units and one with a hinged door. Lema is expanding the horizons of the BULE table by Chiara Andreatti by adding new additions, that include the version in reconstructed marble, with a new Candoglia finish, while another version features a base and rotating tray in the new Tideo reconstructed bronze finish, combined with a table top in heat-treated oak. The final new addition, meanwhile, combines a top in heat-treated oak with a base and revolving tray in reconstructed Belgianblue black marble, which is exclusive to Lema.
As for Armadio al Centimetro, Lema introduces the brand new fabric-effect melamine finishes for all the wardrobes doors of the system and the new hinge for the corner door of the Dandy wardrobe that allows a 180-degree opening.

Another new product, presented in absolute preview for 2021, is the all-glass wardrobe Tian. Whether used in the middle of the room as an island or placed against the wall, Tian is a system in the system: its architecture, defined by brand new aluminium frames, integrates unconstrained into the other wardrobes of the Armadio al Centimetro programme, ensuring the greatest compositional freedom.

Brand new is the presentation mode that, in the absence of the Salone del Mobile and of the possibility of a direct physical dialogue with the public, becomes virtual, driving onward with the process of digitizing the brand that during 2020 has developed personalised consulting services and online training courses.

The story of the products making their debut is punctuated by new keywords and brand new communication tools: video teasers with presentation by the designers and tutorial content with a more descriptive framework in support of the commercial network, in addition to the showcase represented by the new website.
A project based on the precise desire to further nourish the relationship with end users, professionals and private individuals, offering them an omnichannel experience.
