'Light You Like' by Martinelli Luce

20/01/2020 - At this edition of Maison&Objet, Martinelli Luce is wagering heavily on technology, with a sensory ergonomics project denominated “Light You Like. In its use of the new Tunable White LED technology, for the moment available on the Pipistrello (Pipistrello 4.0) and the Biconica Pol lamps, both in Bluetooth versions, the brand offers you light you can “tune” – using a system that modulates both brightness and color temperature – to customize your living space to fit your moods and feelings.

A lamp which has always been defined as a vehicle of technical and formal innovation, aesthetics, and experimentation now embodies the new Tunable White LED technology. Pipistrello 4.0 can reproduce the tones of natural light during the day by modulating the color temperature output of the LED light source.

Designed by Emiliana Martinelli, the Biconica Pol outdoor diffused light standing lamp, with its well-defined character and its ability to adapt to any situation, is proving its worth in indoor applications as well. A distinctive but discreet presence, a focus of attention in either guise but above all in this new Tunable White version, capable of reproducing the entire arc of natural daytime light since it allows for modulating the color temperature of the LED light sources.

Thanks to the Casambi lighting control app, downloadable for Android and Apple smartphone and tablet operating systems, the user can switch the lamp on and off, select the desired intensity and the color of the white light – from cool to warm – and program these functions, even remotely, to achieve the best quality of perception and valorization of even the most minute shadings – in addition to high-quality color yield.
