Lutezia. A homage to the Ville Lumière
10/05/2018 - CEA presents Lutezia, the taps and fittings of classic inspiration designed by the French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Initially designed to restaure the Hotel Lutetia in Paris, this year the collection has officially entered the CEA catalogue.

Ambassador of the French-style art-de-vivre, the Hotel Lutetia in Paris is one of the interpreters of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles. Opened in 1910, during the years it hosted some of the most important personalities of the international cultural scene, such as Ernest Hemingway, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Serge Gainsbourg, David Lynch and Sonia Rykiel. © 2018 Lutetia, Paris

'In the new Hotel Lutetia the Art Deco and Art Nouveau rooms melt with contemporary-taste elements', says Wilmotte. 'In the initial research phase we tried to enhance each single trace of the original Lutetia, the one dating back to 1910. Moreover, we discovered some incredible frescoes. And such a precious past was the inspiration driving us in restyling all rooms of the Hotel', he declared in an interview with Le Parisien in 2016. © 2018 Lutetia, Paris

The French architect took care of every single detail of the project, from the rooms to the single pieces of furniture: from the wellness centre and the swimming pool realised in the space under the building, the Orangerie, the wide and bright suites, to the design of single pieces of furniture and finishes, for which he involved some of the most important brands on an international level. © 2018 Lutetia, Paris

According to Wilmotte’s design CEA has realised the taps for the washbasin, tub and shower. This cooperation then evolved into Lutezia, a project presented in Milan during the Design Week.

A contemporary interpretation of the traditional hydraulic valve, typical of the first years of the 20th century, Lutezia praises the city of Paris and its history. The collection, in stainless steel and available in all CEA special finishes, combines classic style and comfort of use.
