05/11/2019 - Argo Libro Mara's space-saving tables, foldable in just 40 cm and equipped with a patented anti-shock system with round top and structure on castors, have been chosen to furnish different environments within the Giovanni Pascoli state middle school in Turin.
The project for the redevelopment of the school was carried out by the Turin architecture and design studios Archisbang and Areaprogetti, promoted and supported by Fondazione Agnelli and Compagnia di San Paolo, in collaboration with the Città di Torino and Fondazione per la Scuola, as part of the project Torino fa Scuola, dedicated to the renovation of learning spaces.
The Pascoli school, in the Cit Turin district, is conceived as a dynamic educational space where interconnections between students can be fostered so that teaching becomes an active and modern experience, based on standards of quality and well-being, to be lived not only in the 'classic classroom' but in all corners of the school.
'Mara's space - saving tables - comments the arch. Raffaella Magnano of Areaprogetti - have been chosen for their clean and essential design, and for their versatility, which is well suited to teaching in different school environments'.
Argo Libro, also available in a rectangular version, is designed and developed to be used in dynamic contexts and in continuous evolution: in fact, thanks to the mobility and customization that characterizes them, these tables are able to promote interaction and collaboration.
A 'futuristic' project that originates from a cultural, pedagogical and architectural reflection on the new learning spaces that serve the Italian school. Torino fa Scuola has set itself the objective not only of profoundly requalifying the school but also of proposing a model for modernising the school's building heritage that can be replicated throughout the country.
