New materic inspiration for Marca Corona
19/09/2018 - Marca Corona will be exhibiting at Cersaie 2018, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, to launch its 2018 series and present its Rebranding Project. Lagom

Lagom

Lagom
Marca Corona has embarked on a trip to the far north to pay homage to Karin Larsson, the mother of Nordic Style. In the Larsson home, each piece is unique, and in perfect harmony with all the others, because her passion for decoration remained ever faithful to the Nordic values of sobriety and balance. Each room is a manifesto of Swedish style, a splendidly harmonious, inviting ode to creativity. “Lagom är bäst”, goes the well-known Swedish saying, meaning “not too much, not too little, just the right amount”, and this is the vision that has inspired Lagom, a graceful, pleasantly balanced series of ceramics, called upon to reinterpret the concept of wood and to create new atmospheres for the domestic environment. Starting from the best-loved and most widely used wooden essence, that is oak, Lagom enhances the expressive qualities of the wood with new, contemporary shades and stylised patterns that evoke the sophisticated design of the Larsson home. This minimal, classy porcelain stoneware collection is complemented with a series of surprising, ultra-modern decorations.
Ossidi

Ossidi

Ossidi
Ossidi’s inspiration comes from the past, from the ceramic workshops of the 19th century, where metal oxides were used to alter the colour and to create beautifully subtle decorations on artisan cementine tiles. In keeping with the experimentation of 1741 Line, Ossidi is a series of small-size floor and wall tiles with a striking appearance: full, solid colours, novel patterns and original sizes come together to create entirely new decorative combinations.
Phase

Phase

Phase
Marca Corona offers its own take on the new material trend with Phase, a series of porcelain stoneware floor and wall coverings able to bring fresh visual stimuli to concrete, by combining a fine-grain cement base with a rougher paste. Reinterpreting the rough appeal of cement in new, ultra-chic settings, this is the mission of Phase, a collection conceived to embellish light commercial and residential interiors, but also suitable for outdoors, thanks to the Trama Out texture and the HiThick version. It’s impossible not to notice the Storm surface, with its 3D pattern perfect for the most modern indoor spaces, and Trama Out, an innovative texture for the outdoors with graphics reminiscent of the metal grids used for reinforced concrete in major architectural works.
Mementa

Mementa

Mementa
Marca Corona meets the demand for calming interiors, with a collection of enchanting wall coverings: Mementa takes its inspiration from the traces left behind by time and Man on the surrounding surfaces, offering a new take on them with incredibly expressive textures. Designed for residential and commercial interiors with a minimal elegance, Mementa places the accent on genuine materials to create cosy, reassuring settings that are discreet without being banal, thanks to the careful study of the decorations, featuring exquisite details and tesserae with a contemporary flavour.
Bold

Bold

Bold
Marca Corona has taken the two budding trends for 2018 - colour blocking and the matt effect - and channelled them into Bold, a creative and sinuous collection of white body wall tile. The wise research on colours leads to a trend-setting palette with great elegance and versatility: designers can choose totally monochrome solutions or daring contrasts of colour by combining the various nuances of the series or by matching them other materials. Surfaces with velvet-touch, satin-effect glazes give the decoration project an alluring brilliance: the original 3D decorations acquire unexpected reliefs and reflections with a great aesthetic impact.
Arkistone

Arkistone

Arkistone
Behind the Arkistone collection is the desire to lend a touch of exclusive elegance to stone, the intense and authentic material par excellence. Masterful graphic research aims at selecting the most precious stones, Basalt, Burlington and Cardoso, and capturing the most imposing details to create a novel and sophisticated surface, that does not exist in nature. Delicate opalescent veins appear across a compact and homogeneous background to give life to expressive and balanced porcelain stoneware coverings. The decorative assortment reflects the refined and modern appeal of the series by offering a sophisticated geometric pattern with trendy metal inserts.
Elemento

Elemento

Elemento
Elemento project originates from the desire to offer authenticity and intimacy to contemporary design spaces: the choice reverts to wood and cotto, two traditional materials that are reinterpreted by means of a crossover that is both unexpected and multi-faceted. The application of dry glaze and the presence of streaks and reliefs, that are clearly perceivable by the touch, express the strong and genuine character of this collection that has been especially created to stimulate the creativity of the most cutting-edge designers. The richness of the material is enhanced by a bold palette of colours, inspired by enveloping and volcanic tones, such as black and clay. The inclusion of cotto effect surfaces in the collection is an indisputable added value for the aesthetic prestige and possibilities of Elemento, which opens up to wall tiling options.
