15/09/2023 - Transparency, pure forms and lightness: abstract elements that shape the new pulpo furniture and lamp collections by Sebastian Herkner. Three ingredients that give life to Thales, the new series of glass tables and Boule Marble, a new version of the Boule lighting collection already presented in 2016, premiered in Paris during the last edition of Maison&Objet.

Boule Marble is a new version of Herkner's 2016 Boule lighting collection for German producer pulpo, inspired by the popular outdoor game in France. Driven by their strong belief in solid and genuine materials and a dedication to craftsmanship, they developed a new material for the bases. The new marble cylinders are made in a small workshop in Portugal and bring a fresh approach and character to the design. Both materials together, the mouth-blown glass and the marble, give the design a sophisticated and elegant look.

Thales is named after the Greek philosopher and visionary known for predetermining the weather by looking at the stars and, at the same time - to a maid's amusement- falling into a well. Sebastian Herkner's design namesake, made of glass, keeps its feet on the ground while cultivating harmony in geometry - the "explorers of the right angle" other passion. Both checks and stripe versions are available in two sizes.
