03/03/2023 - It’s called Romby, and it’s the new upholstered armchair Porro that will be presented at the Salone del Mobile 2023. Born from the evolution of the chair designed by GamFratesi in 2019, the eponymous armchair adapts the original design to new destinations, amplifying lightness and welcome of the previous model. From home to office, the Romby armchair can be used everywhere, becoming a versatile and functional piece of furniture. The geometric purity of the 2019 chair is reborn in the soft shapes of the upholstered armchair Porro, in which the seat rises and widens to form the armrests. The truncated cone base of the initial model leaves room for the practicality of four central wooden legs: a change of dress in which the full volume of the seat seems to be suspended. With the new upholstered armchair Porro, a game of contrasts is created between the generosity of the upper curved lines and the essentiality of the lower straight lines. Salone del Mobile. Milano
