Pull Up a Seat with Popover from Encore
16/06/2020 - All work and no play makes for a dull day, but thanks to Popover from Encore, designers can add a touch of fun and flexibility to virtually any interior space. This new series of whimsical, lightweight poufs makes it easy to configure small seating environments for group collaboration or standalone touchdown spots for individual use in multi-purpose spaces and non-traditional work environments alike.

Created by Chris and Jon Panichella, longtime collaborators and designers for Encore, the collection is characterized by a cubic form softened by gently rounded corners for a clean, contemporary look that’s perfectly proportioned. But don’t let its charming appearance fool you: Popover is built with durability in mind and boasts a 300 lb. weight capacity.

Offered in two sizes—20” and 24”—poufs also feature a leather pull/strap that not only allows for ease of maneuverability, but functions as an accent to seat and side panel upholstery. Available in four standard colors or customer’s own leather, the possibilities are endless for creating contrasting or tone-on-tone combinations of all kinds.

Popover’s playful aesthetic and effortless mobility make it ideal for a variety of informal spaces, whether paired with other poufs or in combination with lounge and modular seating applications. Its multifunctional appeal further extends to providing ancillary seating for alcoves, pull-up seating for benching and workstation applications, and even right-sized solutions for children’s play centers and family waiting areas.

“Today’s informal and flexible spaces require seating that’s not only functional, but also imaginative—and that’s exactly what Popover is designed to be,” says Tammie Alciatore, Director of Marketing. “Knowing that we needed a series like this, we couldn’t have been more pleased at how this collection came together.”
Whatever the scene, Popover is sure to be the life of the party, providing all the building blocks for reimagining spaces again and again.
