Scarlet Splendour 2019 Collection
31/07/2019 - Scarlet Splendour is showcasing their newest designs by renowned names Nika Zupanc and Matteo Cibic, as well as launched their first collaboration with Rotterdam-based designer Richard Hutten. Oasis

Oasis

Oasis collection by Richard Hutten is highly visual in the vast desert of mundane design, the first glimpse of the Oasis cabinet stuns the viewer. In an odd way it calms one’s senses, in the way all beauty does. It is sleek and utilitarian, dressed in about two hundred brass “thorns” that allure one to its heart. Upon opening the cabinet, Hutten’s magic works in details of tiny metal balconies and secret shelves.
Wolk

Wolk

Richard Hutten’s Wolk collection is inspired by beautiful, rare mammatus clouds. Translated into furniture it becomes larger than life and is a testimony to the brilliance of Dutch design.
Experience ergonomic euphoria with Richard Hutton’s Wolk Chair. This regal gold chair is made in pure brass and designed for both style and comfort.
Animagic

Animagic

Pushing the boundaries of shape and form, Matteo’s ANIMAGIC is a celebration of animal forms in andromorphous design. An odd mix of humour, luxury and utility, these pieces go beyond being furniture - they are magical, sculptural objects, almost life like, that make you smile every time you glance at them. “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened
Lulu

Lulu

There comes a moment when a piece of furniture transforms into a magnificent form of beauty. That’s a Lulu. Matteo Cibic takes a gorgeous gold mouth and an eye, two vital senses, to merge them into one super sense. The Lulu collection is a celebration of our sense of vision and touch, and more subtly, our sense of humour to light up any room or living space.
Vanilla Noir

Vanilla Noir

Scarlet Splendour debuted with the Vanilla Noir collection during Milan Design Week 2015 and this year, new pieces were added to the ever-growing range. Vanilla Noir is ultimately a combination of Indian craftsmanship and Italian design, brought together in such a way that each piece appears timeless. Vanilla Noir employs the Indian craft of horn and bone inlay, replicated using a new resin Scarlet Splendour developed with a particular pigment that resembles ivory. The new pieces are playfully geometric, with the monochromatic patterns being punctuated by deep reds and shining golds.
String

String

The word strings evoke a vision of lightness in our mind whether it be the strings of a musical instrument or textile strings of everyday use. An elegant paradox emerges when strings are made of hard steel and defined into cabinets and credenzas. Designer Nika Zupanc magically achieves lightness and transparency in the Strings collection, taking “strings” of metal and transforming them into path breaking furniture. There is an influence of waves in this collection as well, inspired by the sounds of the sea and the forms that waves take, in the sofas and tables.
From Nika Zupanc’s sensational Strings collection, the Strings Cabinet stands tall with innumerable steel “strings” evenly sculpted to create a translucency that is almost surprising in a metal cabinet. It is versatile in its use with spacious shelves and soft elegant edges.
88 Secrets

88 Secrets

Inspired by the eighty-eight constellations of the stars in the celestial sphere, each piece of the 88 Secrets collection by Nika Zupanc is elegant and ambiguous. The furniture is curved and fluid, with stability and whimsicality seemingly combined in equal measure. Her newest additions to the collection further showcase the craftsmanship of Scarlet Splendour, from innovative amalgamation of metal and wood, to creating diamantine table tops.
