In a video interview carried out during the Fuorisalone, Martin Steininger, Chief designer and CEO of the Austrian brand, presents the FOLD kitchen in total black version with integrated high-tech M.POD worktop that controls anything and everything.
The 'Future Habit(at)' exhibition concept curated by Studio Salaris for Archiproducts Milano highlights the most interesting solutions of integrated technology with design, anticipating the scenarios that interpret the lifestyle of the future. In harmony with this vision, Steininger's FOLD with the new M-POD transforms the kitchen into an intelligent Smart Kitchen Hub.
Sculptural and monolithic, the Steininger kitchen is inspired by the art of origami. The alloy is made using a computer-based method in millimeter fraction precisely prepared and perfected by hand. Encased this way the iconic kitchen seems to float. The design is clear, purist, simple and yet highly functional. One would think the function follows the form, but the form knows how to conceal the function. Behind the essential design of the kitchen are hidden drawers, containers, hob and sink.
Each kitchen is a unique piece. Thus, the inner workings are individually tailored by hand to each customer and equipped with all amenities and comfort.
