17/03/2017 - Seletti, the most irreverent Italian design brand, presents on the occasion of Milan Design Week a new collaboration brand with Studio Job, the craziest and most innovative design duo.

BLOW is not only a collection of objects, but it is a new multi-faceted design brand, originated from thethe creative genius of Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel aiming at the concept of affordable design which Seletti is celebrated for.
This new family of objects in a “pop” spirit includes rugs, neon lamps, foldable chairs, a set of porcelain plates and mirrors. But many more projects will be added soon.

BLOW launches its first capsule collection, which highlights once more Seletti's passion for unconventional projects. Stefano Seletti, the brand's art director, explains: “I love working with Job and Nynke. Since our first project Industry Collection, two years ago, we decided this collaboration should go further. And we decided not to limit ourselves to single objects but rather to create a whole new collection of brand new items. At Seletti we love the idea of subverting the concept of 'exclusive' and we relate it to standards, which are different from the mere economic value; we transform exclusivity in accessibility, to personal tastes and culture of our customers. Our collections can be hated or loved. There is no middle way!”

BLOW’s first collection presents pieces to give the home interior a “pop” spirit with a radical twist. One of the eye catchers is the Sausage Department, a rug with an edge. Egg and Dartboard are the two rugs whose names perfectly explain their unconventional shapes.

The set is enriched by a series of neon wall lights: “Lips” resembling an open mouth, “Flash”which represents a stylized lighting and“Hot Dog”.Warhol meets Down Town Diner in this lighting project, injecting vibrancy and accessibility into the collection.

Finally, a series of six porcelain plates featuring designs, Weed, The Wall, Mouth and Peace boldly depicting iconography from Smeets' & Tynagel's expansive library: whilst the new additions of Egg and Hot Dog, explore a fresh and more playful side of the studio. Each plate design is reproduced using the Vector image format, enabling the print process to be as high and accurate as possible.

With the launch of BLOW Seletti & Smeets and Tynagel explore once more a new way of approaching design, involving cutting-edge experiences and innovative thinking. This projects follows the steps of the Seletti wears TOILETPAPER collection, an experiment which brought the art of Maurizio Cattelan on tableware, home accessories and furniture through the pictures of photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari thanks to their image-only magazine.

The whole concept of the BLOW collection is driven by the will to offer design aficionados dream-like objects created by the unmistakable fantasy of Studio Job, allowing them to furnish their homes with unique objects with an affordable touch.

Job Smeets enthusiastically says: Hey Design world! BLOW your heart out! This year we're really going for it! We feel strong, happy and seductive!”.
