10/04/2018 - At the Salone del Mobile in Milan, SLIDE presents its latest collections designed by big names in design but also by young Italian and international talents.
Thanks to the new collaboration with Martinelli Venezia Studio, SLIDE created the PONENTE sun lounger, made in polyethylene, essential in shape and playful in colors, ideal for swimming pools. The design of Ponente is inspired by the architecture of bridges, which is why it covers large lengths in spite of reduced sections.
The eccentric designer Lorenza Bozzoli has designed for SLIDE a new lighting product: CUCUN. Cucun is a floor lamp with impressive size, made in an innovative material. SLIDE continues its research in the polyethylene production process, begun with Paola Navone’s Low Lita Anniversary low chair: indeed, Cucun has an irregular surface that brings to mind Japanese paper, and this effect is obtained thanks to the introduction of small strands of plastic material in the mixture. Cucun is inspired by the simple and natural shapes of flowers, vegetables and bulbs.
IRON was realized by the creative mind of Sebastian Bergne: it is a modular bench, suitable mainly for contract projects, both in indoor and outdoor spaces. Its shape recalls building materials, despite its own material composition being lightweight. Sebastian Bergne said about his prodct: 'To create the Iron modular bench I bent a symbol of strength using my creative mind'.
In the pop Scenario SLIDE proposes two products designed by the Japanese designer Kazuko Okamoto. WOW and DOUBLE U are funny benches and stools, that seem to come out of a manga comic book, and they bring happiness to any sort of setting.
Finally, Roberto Paoli added Gelée Lounge to his Gelée collection of 'jelly candies'. Gelée Lounge is a lounge armchair in soft polyurethane that displays functionality and comfort suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
