Of Hawaiian origin, the name 'Nalu' means 'wave', a term with a strong charm and a history rich in meaning. Indeed, the wave represents the strength of the sea, but it can also symbolise the fluidity and beauty of movement, the dominant feature of this collection.
A concept in movement
Nalu is a complete family of furnishings where the reference to the majesty of the waves coexists with material and chromatic research, and in which the way of understanding the connection between covering and structure and between straight geometries and unpredictable curves is rewritten. Not only furniture, therefore, but also accessories, ad hoc fabrics, vases and everything else that is part of the Made in Talenti creative project. For this project, the Palomba-Serafini duo was inspired "by the style of the masters of the golden years of Italian design," confirms Roberto Palomba, "and it was born from the idea of a single cushion that folds down to create the seat and backrest, like a sort of wave. This collection also responds to the desire to create something lighter for the new catalogue, some suspended furniture that do not touch the ground and could therefore be crossed by the elements. Roundness that reminds us of a more informal and less structured pleasure of being outdoors".The power of colour
"Nalu is a collection that, especially through the use of ceramics, works on colour," explains Ludovica Serafini. In fact, the colours available, ranging from red to deep blue, passing through the more versatile silk grey, warm white and graphite, allow for infinite combinations and revive the match between the mosaic effect of the tables and the vertical lines of the coverings, structure or carpets, all in perfect synchrony. The geometric puzzle of the ceramic tops of the dining and living surfaces emphasises the craftsmanship of the collection. The Nalu tables, like the rest of the collection, rework the lines of the great design classics: differing from the unique plate of previous productions, they opt for a multitude of multi-dimensional pieces whose particularity lies in being individually glazed, capable of perfectly rendering the game, almost liquid, of colour nuances.Eco-sustainable project
A special focus in the design was given to the sustainable component, which for Talenti is not a trend but an entrepreneurial vision. The structure is made of 100% aluminium, which is not only resistant to atmospheric agents, but also environmentally friendly. A structure that encloses cushions whose covers were made ad hoc by Talenti, all of this reinforced by the fact that the collection is entirely and totally disassemblable and recyclable.Talenti on ARCHIPRODUCTS
