The focal point of Awase is the headboard, conceived as a large decorative backdrop framing the bed: a woven “midollino” pattern is stretched over a solid wood frame. For this process, Bolzan sought the collaboration of a young artisanal company specialized in the ancient art of weaving.

Starting from a design conceived by the designer, the artisans created a unique pattern through the spaces between the weave, which, when repeated, provides a vertical decorative rhythm and a play of transparency that lightens the volumes and enhances the aesthetics of the bed.
