06/10/2022 - Technology meets design in the new ABK Group ceramic tiles. Cersaie 2022 is the international platform chosen by the Finale Emilia-based group to present the new collections by its brands ABK, Flaviker, Abkstone and Materia.

An immersive journey spanning colour and material based on the use of exclusive 3DTech and Full Vein 3D technologies. 3DTech technology allows for the application of thick layers of ceramic material in perfect alignment with the graphic design to create striking three- dimensional effects, while Full Vein 3D technology achieves greater graphic continuity between the surface and body of through-vein slabs thanks to digitally controlled mixing of different coloured raw materials.

Colour and new decorative ideas take centre stage in the ABK space with Poetry Colors, the fourth chapter of the Poetry House project by Studio OTTO - Paola Navone. The key element of this collection is colour, which emerges through watercolour effects and marked variations in shade on small glossy tiles reminiscent of irregular handcrafted majolica. The POETRY COLORS palette comprises the Blue of oceanic depths, the Turquoise of tropical waters, the soothing touch of Sage, the shimmering radiance of Pearl, the elegance of Smoke and the spicy palette of Blush. The colours are inspired by nature, by the southern regions of the world and the encounters with different cultures that have always been a part of Paola Navone’s stylistic journey. Colour and new decorative ideas take centre stage in Volume 2 of Wide&Style MINI, the ABK collection that once again uses the 60x120 cm size to create original ceramic wallpapers suitable for use in even the smallest rooms. The porcelain wall tile collection comes in 8 exclusive patterns that can be combined with the main ABK surfaces, including the 10 plain colours already present in the Wide&Style MINI range. Wide&Style MINI Vol. 2 moves away from figurative and naturalistic inspirations and into more abstract territories defined by unusual geometries, line patterns and designs with a handmade feel. These fascinating proposals feature a wealth of aesthetic references that provide invaluable support to interior designers in their work. By adopting unique 3D Tech technology, which enables extra-thick ceramic materials to be synchronised perfectly with the designs, the ceramic surfaces in Vol.2 are able to recreate the reflections and reliefs typical of printed textiles and other craft processes. Nature is the leitmotif of the Flaviker space with Four Seasons, an elegant wood-look surface available in three colours and open to stylistic crossover effects, even in the most elegant and luxurious contexts. The collection uses P.TECH technology, which improves the non-slip coefficient of the surface while maintaining a pleasant tactile sensation. The Limoges antique stones and the Memories marble collection with versatile surfaces are also being presented for the first time. The Abkstone and Materia spaces feature extra-thick marble-effect ceramic tiles made with Full Vein 3D technology. Digitally controlled mixing of different coloured raw materials prior to pressing allows for the production of through-vein slabs with even greater aesthetic continuity between the surface and the ceramic body. Replicating the work of nature over millions of years, the process recreates the aesthetics of stone both on the surface and through the entire body of the slab.
ABKSTONE’s new FULLVEIN3D slabs offer the perfect combination of technological innovation and aesthetics. The well-known technical characteristics of porcelain stoneware such as non- absorbency and durability make it suitable for a wider range of applications than natural stone. At the same time, the superior technical and aesthetic qualities provided by the FULLVEIN3D process ensure that the marble effect is maintained even after cutting, drilling and finishing operations, giving bathroom and kitchen tops an even more natural look. The COOKING SURFACE Prime induction cooking system can only be used in conjunction with Abkstone sintered slabs. The induction cooktop integrated into the ceramic slab is activated only when the magnetic field comes into contact with a metal pan. The heat is transferred directly to the pans, so the cooktop cooks more quickly than a gas cooker and the sintered slabs do not heat up. This saves energy and allows the worktop to be used for other activities when not cooking.
