The Norwegian Design on Show in New York

At ICFF an exhibition dedicated to interior design products representing Norway’s best-in-design companies

25/05/2022 - The Norwegian design arrives in NY. On occasion of ICFF the Norway Design Industry has assembled a cohort of eight leading Norwegian interior design manufacturers to be showcased at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair.

Unable to attend in 2021, the exhibiting brands have presented a wide range of interior design products representing Norway’s best-in-design companies: Dyfosit, Eikund, Fram Oslo, Figgjo, Hadeland Glassverk, Heymat, Lundhs, Heymat and Volver – making INSIDE NORWAY.

What connects the chosen companies are the best practices they share in sustainability and originality. Each company selected has a deep respect of the Norwegian design heritage, and the aesthetics of the 1950s & 60s translated into ultra contemporary styles and functionality. Many are inspired by the surrounding nature of Western Norway and the usage of native materials from that region – an area where many artisans and craftspeople migrated and manufactured beginning in the 1940s.

Today, these multi-generational and newly formed companies are led by young, dynamic teams of designers and business executives with the vision and Norwegian manufacturing capabilities to advance Norwegian design around the world.

Inside Norway, an exhibition project established by the Federation of Norwegian Industries Design Industry, is especially pleased to be able to attend this year to bring these best-in-class examples of Norwegian interior design brands to ICFF who has been such a terrific partner and marketplace in the US for our brands,” says Ragnhild Grytten, Marketing Manager, Norwegian Design Industries. “We are really excited to show the diversity of our products, our makers, and introducing the talents of our designers."
