27/03/2019 - The KYSS range represents a unique collaboration between award winning furniture designer Tom Fereday and metal-smith maker + designer Studio Kyss. The collection will be presented at Salone del Mobile as part of the Local Milan Fuorisalone exhibition curated by Australian and New Zealand design collective Local Design and Emma Elizabeth.
Collaborating on the principle of honest design that both embody, Kyss + Fereday present a hand-made furniture collection uniquely made from solid brass and FSC rated solid timber. The KYSS range utilizes folded and formed solid brass to create a sculptural table and seating range.
The KYSS range combines pure materials with bold sculptural forms to create a truly unique furniture collection designed to age and patinate over time. Both the coffee and table designs feature a faceted vase that protrudes through the table top and are available in both oak and walnut tops paired with brass or silver bases.
The Fuorisalone event features 44 Australian and New-Zealand designers and design studios that connect Australasian design and its growing identity to a wider audience.
