11/08/2023 - Midway between furnishing decoration and silent architectural lighting,
Class is Vibia outdoor lamp, designed by
Sebastian Hekner, which fuses together the two types of outdoor lamps, one coming from the tradition of indoor furniture and the other with a functional nature, integrated into the structure of a space. With its soft, enveloping light, Class is composed of a solid stem with an industrial aesthetic that curves at the top to envelop the diffuser from above and below.
"
Class - the designer says -
emphasises its architectural elegance in its vertical metal structure, as well as the soft waves in the borosilicate glass tube".

Uniform grooves furrow the translucent glass of the diffuser, radiating a comfortable diffuse brightness into the transition areas. Remote dimming control allows the light intensity to be adjusted, creating the ideal atmosphere according to the intended use.
“
The structured glass - Hekner continues -
spreads the light in a soft patterned way on the facade, the terrace and the greenery around".

In new
Vibia outdoor lamp, the matt black of the aluminium contrasts with the smooth surface of the glass, creating an interesting combination of textures.
Class has a wall model and a floor model; the floor lamp is available in various heights and in one diffuser or two asymmetrical diffuser versions. The surface mount driver remains well hidden from view throughout the collection.

Designed to sway with the breeze, the larger floor version is over two metres high and illuminates the surrounding space with light from above. The two smaller models, less than one metre high, project a soft light from below. The wall light complete the collection and diffuses a comfortable glow on vertical surfaces.
