28/09/2021 - In a gallery space designed by Cino Zucchi and given an updated display for Design Week, De Castelli presents the latest collection. Metals, with their infinite variations of three-dimensional textures, surprising finishes and shimmering hues, have been turned into unique products and special editions: the Baia table by Zanellato/Bortotto, the Caravan sofa by Emilio Nanni; the Convivium console by Nikita Bettoni; the Nami bookcase by Andrea Parisio, and the Via Veneto chair by Minelli Fossati are paired with a few best-selling pieces, creating dialogue between the collections of a brand that crafts exceptional interior landscapes with cross-room solutions that meet all functional requirements.
Large table characterized by an organic shape, Baia is inspired by the landscapes of the Venetian lagoon sea: the infinite variations given by the waves and the currents come to life in the evocative declinations of the DeNuance lagoon finish, with its many shades of light blue and green. The base, formed by two cylindrical copper elements, supports the large top with the sinuous line. The result is a sculptural table, an iconic object that becomes the protagonist of the environment: Baia is almost a piece of art, the power and beauty of nature.
Born with the table, Convivium series extends with the consolle that features the same flowing, continuous shape: precious as a jewel, it is a sculptural piece made entirely of brass shaped to ensure stability and resilience, thanks to the discreetly Art Nouveau creases. Like a leaf, it folds at the edges gracefully to offer a top with DeErosion finish that form dense veining, artfully imitating a material that has been etched and corroded over time.
Caravan modular sofa expresses a harmonious synthesis between the rigor of metal and the softness of the upholstery, which interact in an original formal composure. The profile of the padding is outlined by the precious “horse stitch” stitching, while the base is defined by a metal geometry. The precious metal finish and the sartorial quality of the upholstery create a refined volume, inspired by modernism, which furnish domestic and contract interiors with an important and sculptural presence. Available in two, three or four seat sofa and in the armchair version.
Nami modular bookcase is characterized by a sinuous course that also makes it a separate self-standing, if positioned in the center of the room to configure the spaces. In the 'C“ composition, Nami embraces like a hug, while in the“S” composition it draws a rhythmic and balanced profile of solids and voids. The DeLabré Striato stainless steel structure is enriched by the decorative band, available in precious De Castelli finishes on steel, brass and copper,to furnish the room with personality.
The Via Veneto seat is inspired by the 1960s andrecalls the atmosphere of the Roman dolce vita. The double symmetrical tubular structure in painted stainless steel designs the feet and armrests, which support the soft leather upholstered seat and the small shaped metal backrest. The result is an enveloping armchair with carefully studied proportions, which conveys an elegant and sophisticated image.
