Arsenal Femenino in Barcelona by Ferruz Studio
Plusminus lighting system provides just the right presence and flexibility to adapt to any desired layout. The system is based on a fabric belt with built-in electrical conductivity which supports a series of semi-spherical spotlights attached as required.
The suspended lights are either hung directly by the fabric belts from the ceiling over individual tables or draped around a rail positioned over the banquette seating that lines the perimeter of the restaurant.
With its adjustable tension, the fabric belt enlivens the minimalist design of the space. Semi-spherical lights catch the eye without dominating the room.

The internal finishes are raw and somewhat stark, mimicking the brutalist architecture style exterior of this iconic building. The concrete structural columns are stripped back and exposed; walls are lined with concrete-effect panels; the golden amber polished floor tiles reflect the metallic suspended ceiling tiles above.
Nevertheless, the upholstered seating and lighting fixtures in a warm terra- cotta orange palette soften the overall ambience. There is a dialogue going on between the voids over the tables punctuated by words and sentences like the belt and spotlights of the Plusminus lighting system.
