For more than 30 years, Oikos Venezia has been designing and manufacturing entrance doors at its factory in Gruaro, Venice. The company is recognized nationally and internationally as an industry leader in the high-end segment. Oikos defines its products, not as mere safety doors, but rather as real and actual "entrance architectures": in fact, the company over time has helped to spread the concept of the entrance door as an integral part of an architecture and of the context-home concept. The Veneto-based company stands out for its ability to combine craft skills and industrial organization in order to create unique, evolved and customized products. In order to meet the needs of a customized production on an industrial scale, the company carries out all the processing of its products in-house so that it can guarantee direct control over the production processes, as well as a craftsmanship expertise that can lead to tailor-made and quality solutions applying recognized industrial processes: Oikos defines all this as "arsenalità".

Oikos safety doors: technology meets design

Oikos Venezia is present in the market segment of safety entrance doors and indoor safety doors. The Veneto-based brand offers product lines that cover all trends in interior design: from entrances for classic and traditionally styled living contexts, to entrance spaces for modern environments with a taste more focused on minimalism, even going so far as to meet the demands for elegant and luxurious residences and villas. In any case, Oikos knows how to combine high technical standards and a great design research in all its products. The corporate philosophy aims at the perfect harmonization between the entrance doors and the living context in which they will be integrated: this vision has been made a reality by the constant study of materials, design and colors, which has enabled Oikos to anticipate and meet the new trends around the world of furniture. Among the most innovative products, Synua, the first large-sized vertical pivot safety door coplanar with the wall, and the Tekno line, the door with concealed hinges characterized by high-end performance ratings, should undoubtedly be mentioned.

Oikos innovation between craftsmanship and industrial organization

Oikos Venezia focuses on craftsmanship to create customized entrance solutions based on a specific project, including those design drawings for which entrance spaces are foreseen, which are considered non-standard for the target market. Craftsmanship is combined with a rigorous industrial organization to create a cutting-edge, quality and aesthetically impactful production, following the cultural traditions of the Venetian territory on which Oikos has its roots. The company has adopted a constantly innovation-driven approach since its establishment, going so far over the years as to develop and introduce important innovations in the field of safety entrance doors, and not only: noteworthy is the creation of the most prestigious entrance architecture in history in Dubai, a fully automated Synua Wall System door-wall, capable of reaching a height of 11 m; 2022 then saw the release of the new aluminum covering line "Skydoors. Vertical Horizons", which is unique in being an eye-catcher for its completely vertical character aesthetic thanks to refined lines that stand out upwards.

Oikos Venezia: the history of Made in Italy entrance doors

Established in 1990, Oikos Venezia has a well-defined mission starting right from its name. "Oikos" derives from the Greek and means both "home" and "family": the domestic dimension, which is combined with a sense of protection and care; this is the most important reference from which the imagery of the Venetian brand, a leading player of Made in Italy home design, draws its inspiration. The alliance of craftsmanship and industrial organization takes shape in the production plant in Gruaro (VE), from which, in the more than 30-year history of Oikos, new types of entrance doors have been developed, cutting-edge doors in terms of both technology and design: in 2005, the Synua line was conceived, the large-sized safety door with vertical pivot operation, coplanar with the wall; the following year, the introduction of Synua Wall System, the integrated safety door-wall system, took place. Then, in 2007-2008, Oikos first introduced Tekno, the safety door with concealed hinges and, the following year, it released the Evolution entrance solutions line, equipped with visible hinges and being able to meet any customization request. In 2009, Vela, the first sliding safety door corresponding to a moving architectural sign, was conceived. Later, in 2015, the company took part in Made Expo with two new lines: Evolution 3 TT, the safety door with heat barrier for certified energy-saving installations, and Project, the new indoor door offered in a residential and in an hotel version. During 2017, the company launched on the market Nova, the first fully glazed, large-sized safety door with pivot operation.
The success of Oikos-branded entrance architecture solutions is proven by the numerous collaborations with architects from all over the globe, who have chosen the Venetian company design doors to realize their projects for private villas and luxurious buildings. In 2019, the company opened to visitors the exhibition space "L'atelier. Museum of Made in Italy" to tell the visitors about its identity and the bond that connects Oikos to its territory; in this context, the Venetian company intends to pass on the precious legacy left by Made in Italy and its symbols, letting it become part of its corporate culture. In the recent years, Oikos has been expanding more and more by entering new, fast-growing markets: hence the decision to open the "Oikos Atelier Dubai," the corporate first single-brand showroom based in Dubai, in 2022. Currently, Oikos has more than 100 dealers spread all over the world.
