pergolas and
awnings, has been operating internationally for over half a century. The quality of the materials used, the safety of the finished products, and the celebrated Pratic design are unmistakable. They embody those Made-in-Italy values that meet with great approval worldwide, making the company one of the leading suppliers of B2B solutions and an ideal partner for architects who wish to offer the best products to their clients. Pratic structures are coated with UV/humidity/salt resistant powders that do not contain solvents, making it possible to obtain 38 different colors. In 2023, the company takes a new and decisive step towards growth, with its entry into StellaGroup, a French group that is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of window closures, building access systems and outdoor sun protection.
Pratic: pergolas and bioclimatic products
Pratic offers limitless options to its partners and architects who choose to customize their projects with made-to-order solutions. Precious and accurate plays of volumes, intense luminosity, and unparalleled comfort are the outstanding features that allow Pratic pergolas to transform space and create unexpected settings that blend interiors and exteriors.
Pratic pergolas can be used in any architectural context, thanks to the choice of self-supporting or wall-supported versions. Pratic's lightweight structures are resistant even in the most adverse weather conditions. Widely versatile with an attractive design, Pratic pergolas offer the opportunity to transform terraces into outdoor living areas and create more inviting green spaces. The
bioclimatic pergola is Pratic's exclusive patent; its aluminum shading blades can be oriented with a silent and simple mechanism that uses wind and sunlight to create conditions of climatic comfort.
Pratic awnings: from classic to motorized models
Pratic has been designing and manufacturing
awnings since it took its first steps in the outdoor sector. Today, just like 60 years ago, the company researches and develops new top-of-the-line structures in terms of functionality, technology, and aesthetics. The Pratic Concept laboratory responds to the daily challenge of transforming awnings into high-performance tools. The company has introduced
motorized management via smartphone and remote controls that modulate movement and lighting. Integrated sensors manage the automatic FlexControl mechanism that protects structures in excessive wind or particular weather conditions.
Awnings with extendable arms have simple lines and minimal aesthetic impact thanks to the practical box containing the mechanism when not in use. They can be operated by smartphone or remote control. Integrated led lighting makes these awnings unique.
Drop awnings can isolate spaces for increased privacy without sacrificing exacting aesthetics. With their Power Spring System and Magnetic Lock System technologies, they guarantee perfect tensioning of the fabric and offer the possibility for closure even in strong wind conditions. Canopy awnings were the company's starting points and are still available in a lightweight aluminum frame with manual or automated controls. Some of these exclusive awnings are the
T-Project line with
T-Hide,
T-Code,
T-Way,
T-Box, and
T-Line awnings, all distinguished by Pratic's clean lines and up-to-date technology.
The Pratic story: from the first canopy awning to designer pergolas
Founded in 1960 in Ceresetto, a small town near Udine, by brothers Bruno and Giuseppe Orioli, Pratic has always maintained innovation-oriented craftsmanship as the cornerstone of its always-modern products, which often became forerunners in the field. The brand's key to success is the scrupulous care and precision that its artisans devote to every detail of the expertly designed structures, no matter how minute. The company's first
awnings featured a precisely structured wooden frame. The flagship product led to Pratic's first patent for a
canopy awning as early as 1965, making it a leader in creating products that would become widely used in the sector just a few years later. From the outset, Pratic moved beyond thinking of the awning as a mere structure to create shade to conceive of them as distinctive furnishings, especially for commercial venues that needed to outfit their exteriors in pleasant and attractive ways. In the early 1980s, Pratic began to offer elegant
arm awnings to cover increasingly extensive areas.
The millennium brought a new phase in the production of design
pergolas, a sophisticated system that was soon widely used in the outdoor sector. The company gradually moved from the production of wood canopies to
bioclimatic aluminum pergolas, continuing the research and innovation that characterized the company from the beginning with its passionate focus on open-air culture. Over the years, Pratic has kept its entire production in Italy along with its selection of superior materials and luxury fabrics. Nothing is left to chance, and the company regularly subjects its entire production process to meticulous testing and certification. Today, brothers and Orioli heirs Edi and Dino, manage the company. In 2018, the successful businessmen managed to triple the company's turnover by opening to foreign markets and they inaugurated a prestigious new headquarters at the foot of the hills in Fagagna in the province of Udine. Designed by architects Stefano Gri and Piero Zucchi of the Geza design office, the new Pratic factory covers 8,000 square meters and includes production areas, warehouses, and technical spaces, with a layout that seeks to seamlessly integrate design and production. The new Fagagna plant was designed with the lowest possible environmental impact; water used in production processes is purified for its reuse, reducing consumption to a minimum. Pratic is member of ITALIA FOR CONTRACT, the network of Made in Italy design developed to propose the best solutions in the contract sector. Each company of the network represents an excellence in its own sector boasting important projects in international markets and prestigious collaboration with the most renown architectural and planning firms.
