Cradle family, a system composed by armchairs, sofas and a small table. Their characteristic is based on the structure: a classic triangular construction, that is repeated several times around the models, so that you can admire it from each point of view. The leather strap that rolls up around the rigid frame covered by fabric, which holds soft cushions, is fixed between the steel structure of the feet, creating in this way a cradle, that gives harmony with the contrasts of the materials. The armchair and the sofa draw both from the rich lineage of Italian furniture, known for its bold sculptural shapes, as well as from the modernist sensibility, that demands an honest structural expression. Rather than conceal the framework and attempt to make the models levitate off the ground, the elegant crafted supporting elements themselves become the highlight of the model. The frame is realized in moulded polyurethane foam and is places on black lacquered die-cast metal, that is enriched by the strap, realized in leather.
The small table is made of the same legs, in black lacquered die-cast metal, which support the top in marble, available in arflex finishing.
Considering its versatility, the armchair has been realized with either full leather upholstery or a combination between leather outside and cushions in fabric, to meet the demands of setting in the domestic space or for contract use.
