A single bed is the smallest type of bed for one person. It is usually 80-90 cm wide and 200 cm long. Depending on the room in which it is placed and its characteristics, the single bed can be very space-saving. Pull-out beds and bunk beds, which are often found in children's rooms, are very useful in various situations and have the advantage that they can be used by two people without taking up much space. If space is at a premium, or if the bed is to be placed in a guest room, study or multifunctional room, you can opt for a sofa bed or a convertible bed. With these two models, the bed can simply be pulled out of a sofa, armchair or other piece of furniture. There are also beds that disappear completely into the wall, floor or horizontal surface. Finally, in very small rooms, the choice of a storage bed can be essential, as it offers the possibility of using the size of the single bed to create a useful storage space for blankets and duvets underneath.
