The modern sofa David, available in both fabric and leather, stands out for its sleek and dynamic aesthetics, with a structure that seems to rise from the ground, conferring lightness. A choice that enhances the design and introduces a new idea of comfort. David is the result of an extensive research and development process, carried out by the designers Castello Lagravinese Studio in collaboration with the technical team and prototype makers at Team BertO. The goal: redefine the concepts of design, comfort, and customisation. In its linear version, David is available in three standard sizes - 307, 267, and 237 cm - with a seat height of 42 cm and depth of 56 cm. Thanks to the 24 modules available, it can be configured to create tailor-made solutions suitable for any design requirement. The raised structure is designed to convey a sense of lightness: the elliptical feet, completely concealed, give the sofa a floating appearance that enhances the purity of its shape. One of its most distinctive features is the armrest, available in two versions: a soft down-filled cushion or a natural oak tray. In both cases, the armrest includes an integrated USB-C port at the base, ensuring functionality without compromising the design. The wooden tray version also includes a wireless charger, combining aesthetics and technology in a single, functional element. The modern David sofa stands out for its seat cushion system - the result of BertO’s most advanced innovations. The combination of high-density polyurethane foam and memory foam ensures both stability and comfort, while the channeled goose down padding adds extraordinary softness. The back cushions are available in single or double versions, offering two interpretations of comfort: a deep, relaxed seat or a more upright configuration, adjustable with a simple gesture. The absence of nails and visible stitching, together with pre-calibrated and pre-tensioned webbing, guarantees strength and durability in full compliance with circular economy principles. David comes with fully removable covers in both Space leather and Mars fabric. The carefully curated colour palette enhances each configuration, creating perfect harmony with the other elements in the BertO Collection.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Structure and seat: tubular metal frame, with high-strength vertical and horizontal interwoven elastic straps, then padded with polyurethane foam in different densities.
Backrests: in fire-retardant polyurethane foam with tubular metal insert. The upholstery is padded with goose down.
Seat cushions: polyurethane foam padding in different densities, with upper quilting in channelled goose down.
Back cushions: filled with channelled goose down.
Armrest/tray: bronze-coloured lacquered mdf leg and armrest with wooden panel covered in polyurethane foam and channelled goose down quilting, or tray in veneered mdf and solid wood perimeter shaping.
Feet: varnished 5-axis solid wood feet and floor support with gripping rubber.
Electronic components: The David sofa has two USB-C inputs integrated in the armrest bases. In the version with a natural oak tray, the armrest is equipped with a wireless charger.
Upholstery: in fabric or leather with completely removable covers.
Comfort: modular comfort and enveloping as an embrace.
